I am still trying to figure out if it's sexy or an abortion only comparable to the Cayenne. Halp, GAF.

Wow, looks pretty sexy for a 4-door Porsche. I'd drive this for the leg room alone. If I had the cash, anyway.

A Porsche station wagon? Oh, how the mighty have fallen...

No, it's an aborted Cayenne. The rump is hideous. The front is devoid of design. The proportions are bloated and whale like. I love the Cayman and 911, but this is wrong. Of course the Cayenne sells well, and this probably will too.

To answer my own question, according to Edmunds.com the car's MSRP is around $127,000 for the base model.

Yeah, they completely ruined it. :lol It looks good at certain angles but when you see that ass, oh my god - just don't stare.

The VW CC would be the ultimate 4-door coupe if it didn't have some hideous taillights. Really don't know what they were thinking in stealing the Corollas rear lights.

It looks quite nice from the back, but the other angles look terrible.
Seems like a mash-up of different cars, without it's own identity.

I'll bet you never realized that the Dodge Magnum was a station wagon, either.

Fallen ? They build what their customers ask for. They made a 17 billion dollar profit in 2007.
Every single employee got a €5200 bonus.

How's GM doing ?

You're really barking up the wrong tree. Their financial status was the last thing on my mind.
I'd rather they fail if this is the price of success.
Anyway, prostitutes make good money, too.
And I've never made a positive comment about an American auto maker online... Not one in 15 years. Sooooooooooo far off base...

Uh... yeah... that one is pretty easy to tell. This is a sedan for sure, but a hatchback doesn't make a car a station wagon, and while that Porsche isn't the prettiest thing on the block, it's also not a station wagon. The styling isn't even close, while a Magnum attempts to look like a station wagon on steroids, but comes off looking more like a hearse.

Just out of curiosity, how do you define a station wagon then?

Any of these will do:

You can see that the body styling is quite a bit different then that Porsche above. But, it's semantics I suppose. I'm not trying to start some big war. It's just that I wouldn't define that car above as a station wagon on the styling alone. Call it what you will though.

I think I get where you are coming from, but really the only difference is the more vertical angle of the tailgate area. It doesn't really matter though, you're right.

Holy shit, that's beautiful ;_;

I'd kill to own an Aston (ok maybe not kill, but I'd still go pretty far)

I'm sorry, but that Porsche is a station wagon, just a different kind of design from the traditional station wagons, just look at the pics so awes posted.

that aston martin is one of the best looking cars ever--it's one of the few that can look both sporty and classy at any given time. and it's pretty fast, too.

it's a coupe-ish four-door sedan, not a wagon.

another example of a wagon:

BMW M5

and since you nerds love to quote wikipedia:
The Porsche Panamera is a four-door, four-seat luxury sedan, currently in design stage, set to be launched in 2009.[1][2] It will be front-engined and rear wheel drive.

Looking at it again, yeah, now I don't think it's a station wagon, it's just Porsche's patented ugly rear design makes it look like so

:lol WTF is that?

Just when you thought a Porsche couldn't get any uglier.

It goes from "rrrribit" to...to...wtf is that? :lol

And the only thing that's keeping this from being a wagon is that it has that ugly sloped back instead of a flat square back.

It a fucking station wagon! :p

Enjoy getting groceries and fastening the baby seats!

1. That thing is ugly as hell.

2. Porsches should have numbers. All Porsches with names have been hideous (see: Cayenne, Cayman, Panamera and to some degree Boxster). But the new 911 (997) update is really nice looking.

Is Porsche always going to be crucified whenever they try to make a car that doesn't go with the car lover's notion of what a Porsche should look like?

Aren't station wagons colonial speak for estates?
Yes.

As a former wagon driver I present this litmus test for whether or not it is a wagon: will driving it hamper your ability to get laid? (Assume for a moment it is not a Porsche.)

I can tell they were going for a Porsche 911 sedan, but they wound up with a Nissan Murano that's been left out in the sun too long.

I don't know how can this be called a sedan anyway. Its bootlid has the rear window included, thus would be considered a 5th door.

For me, it's a 5 door liftback just like this Corolla for example:

The Cayenne is a crime against god. This is merely a crime against man. Also, nice timing, Porsche.
