So I just brought back the arc gun...and I'm still bored out of my mind.
Should I just forgo the single player at this point?
This thread has convinced me to check the campaign out. Still not doing Doom though, not a horror guy.
:/
well tbh you're basically at the end of the game so...
Wait really?
And you guys are comparing this game to the Half Life series?!
I mean, there's no character development, no investment in a single component....dialog is terrible and gameplay is nothing revolutionary...level design is extremely simplistic, graphics are very flat and lacking in atmosphere...man
Dude, even sound design is dull as fuck.
I mean, to each their own, but man...

Unlike Half Life 2, the pacing of this campaign is brilliant. Doesn't feel like there's any filler.
It is the same for every competitive FPS and every one lived on just fine.
Defeated the first dude Kane.
It must get better right?
It does...just not for a long time. Aside from a unique gameplay mechanic in one of the mid game levels, it pretty much keeps the pace of the first mission until the last 2 missions (out of 9-10 missions total I think).
-Auto pistol mayhem after "BTs death"
This has been the best FPS campaign I have played in a long time. Next to Wolfenstein this has to be one of the best in the last 5 years.
I just wanted to say that themoment looked INSANE on PS4 Pro. my jaw droppedark time freeze explosion

I don't see how playing against more experienced players means the game is unbalanced, everyone starts somewhere, and the games gives you enough good tools at level 1 to deal with any situation, hell the starting AR and SMG are among some of the best weapons in the entire game.
What a year for fps. Thank God. And to think. A call of duty campaign is my favorite. Awesome stuff
Infinite Warfare>>Titanfall 2>Doom>>>>BF1
Is IW really that good? I might pick it up sometime later.

I mean, I think the opposite of your whole post so okay. It is subjective though.
I think TLoU is a pile of shit, for example.
Go and finish the game tho, the rest of that level, and the next 2 are dope
The factory level felt fuckin incredible and I felt the level design and enemy types absolutely rewarded using your platforming skills in combat. I guess you could play some encounters like CoD...but why? It's like people who play the uncharted games as strict cover shooters.
so much character development in half-life, right?Wait really?

I don't understand either. It's the same for the ppl who say level design sucks and then go on to praise Doom...Did I just read "poor sound-design?"
Wow. I played with soundMAGIC earphones and one part especially sent chills down my spine
