So what does Sony have for holiday 2015?

Uh yes? It happens all the time.
It sure does, but I don't remember many big games from Sony that did this.

It does feel like they should be having a lot under wraps still, but it has felt like that for the past two years already and it hasn't resulted in many (big) exclusives for PS4 yet so far.

I'd say the chance is bigger they'll secure a couple of big marketing deals with 3rd parties with one relatively big first party exclusive to still be revealed for 2015, but nothing compared to Uncharted.

Surprise me, Sony.

Edit: they do of course still have a lot of games announced for 2015, just not a single title that is comparable to the 3rd party big guns.

I dunno, what'd they have last holiday? They'll probably just drop the price by $50 or $100 and let the two years worth of games they amassed be enough.

People are saying E3 but most games released in the same year already get announced before E3. Very unlikely anything announced at E3 for the first time would be coming this year.

Fallout 4 holiday 2015 timed exclusive
AC Victory marketing exclusive
Delay either Until Dawn or Tearaway Unfolded into fall/winter
Indies, indies everywhere

There ya go Shu.

That would imply they had originally planned to offer the uncharted collection and uncharted 4 right next to each other, which would cannibalize sales due to franchise fatigue.
No it would imply that the collection was probably a summer title but now Sony may have to delay it to fill the holiday gap seeing as how they probably don't have a AAA game that will be announced at E3 and ready during the holidays.

There is no third party comarketing deal either like Destiny.

Keep in mind this is all speculation on my part.

Hopefully No Man's Sky for an exclusive.

Hopefully Fallout 4 and Star Wars Battlefront for multiplatform.

I was only planning on getting Star Wars Battlefront this fall, so as long as that comes out on time I'm good.

Maybe horizon or the Sony bend game comes out this year. Or maybe they throw atlus some money to keep the Ps3 version of persona 5 from the west?

Tbf I bet Mgsv will sell a lot of ps4s
and TLG

I'm guessing they have a few cards ready for E3, otherwise holiday is going to be barren as fuck in terms of big releases.

it is a shame, because Sony were relying solely on this one title to carry them through the fall season.

smh

Also if QB now gets delayed (which might be more likely now), I'll only have TR as my TPS of choice. Previously I had three great options.

Push Morpheus up Sony - Q1 I'll be too busy playing UC4 and QB.

No Man's Sky and Witness hopefully.

Uncharted Collection w/UC4 beta...
Ratchet and Clank reboot...
Until Dawn...

Bloodborne is our savior!

ayy lmao

I'm seriously in doubt they can fill the slot somehow, this gen has been pretty harsh on Sony first party stuff with delays, games canned and titles not hitting the high marks (although I for one loved the Order).

I guess I expected more from Sony but I don't think they can change much now. Any AAA game that isn't already in production now prob won't see light of day on PS4 anyway with 3/4 year dev cycles.

Plus version of Driveclub, obviously.

Woa woa woa, don't want to rush it

This was the only game you were looking forward to? Expand your horizons man.

PS4 will be fine, like it has been, and 3rd party games will still be the biggest selling games at the end of the year across both consoles.

Plus it's only March.

It's a very legitimate question. They've lost their big tentpole holiday title, with nothing to replace it. We rarely see a big blockbuster title announced at E3 for release the same year- no, LBP3 doesn't count.

Of course, PS4 has shown an ability just to sell on inertia by this point, but it's getting a little embarrassing.

And the others 11 months are what ? they don't exist ?

The pre-Christmas period certainly seems disproportionately important.

Quoting myself from another topic:

Now though I'm wondering what big games they'll have for Christmas - Ratchet & Clank will probably be September, I'm expecting Tearaway Unfolded around October, and what else is there? Gran Turismo won't be ready, Guerrilla's RPG probably won't be ready (?), God of War definitely will not be ready, what else is there? Bend's horror game maybe? Gravity Rush 2 or something else from Japan Studio?

I'm guessing:

Ratchet and Clank reboot.
Persona 5.
Uncharted Remastered collection.
No Man's Sky, with Sony publishing a physical release.
Same deal for Rime and Hellblade, possibly?
Surprise new AAA IP.

lol seriously. Some people really seem to buy into Microsoft's bullshit PR that the last three months of the year are the only ones that matter.

Is it Microsoft PR bullshit? I always felt the hype of the holiday season was an entire industry thing. I'm always surprised when a big 3rd party game doesn't come out at the end of the year.

GTA V story DLC timed exclusive for PS4 is another very real possibility, given their marketing deal with R* for GTA V PS3 / PS4.

It's a legitimate question.

It's the game that's going to sell me on a PS4.

if uncharted 4 is the only game you want for a ps4, you should wait for spring 2016

anything else they put out for holiday is not uncharted 4, so they aren't going to sell you on the system before uncharted 4, so you should just wait for spring 2016

They sold 4 million systems last holiday.

Lol, the concern threads have gone up in record time.

Ask the question after E3. I think the odds of a Bluepoint developed Uncharted Collection just got better.
