So where's Gaborn? (RIP Gaborn)

Yes, I can provide basically 100% confirmation. I mean at this point it would have to be an Andy Kaufman-style conspiracy.

Someone just PMed me a link to some info that certainly suggests he passed away due to personal medical complications. It would be violating privacy to post anything further, so yeah...just a very sad end to a lot of struggling. RIP.
 
i hope this isnt insensitive but what was the cause of his death? was he sick?

edit: wow literally a few posts before me addresses this. never mind. i hope hes in a better place :/
 
If I ever die, I want you guys to throw a party. I'll even pay for the hookers and the blow. If you're still depressed after that I'll come back and haunt you.
 
This news really is tearing into me. I don't know him personally but from the forums he comes off as a great guy.

I've been reading this thread for half of the evening here. Its really depressing. I definitely enjoyed his threads and was a true "face" of Neogaf for me. While I didn't interact with him on a personal level, this is still really sad. RIP Gaborn

Events like this lately have definitely helped to put things back in perspective.
 
This really sucks. We at least got to say goodbye to Scorcho. Gaborn didnt get a chance for us to tell him how much he meant to everybody here.
 
I still can't believe this news...... Gaborn really was a GAF staple poster... This is hard to put into words, but it's kind of shocking to know that time is ticking for us all, even on GAF....

Did some "Google" searching...its him with out a doubt.

Through some easy searching you can find his Facebook.

Then on his FB page he has the same exact post he made about a friend as a note. Which is responded by the mother of the friend he lost.
You can actually also find his deceased friends charity set up by his mother. Sadly he too was only 22 and died by a fall in his college apartment.
 
RIP to Gaborn and Sorcho since I didn't get around to the latter. This really caught me off guard. I could have swore I just saw a thread from him like last week. Man times just been flying for me. I found out about this @ work too and I just had to stand back and think for a bit. Can't believe 2 Gaffers just passed away so recently.
 
Ah man this came out of nowhere... I never really talked to Gaborn but I loved his devotion to posting a huge range of news stories, be it good or bad... Also, best tag on Gaf. RIP Gaborn :(

What makes me sad is knowing that since Gaf is such a huge community, we might not really know if a member passes away or simply leaves unless someone confirms it...

Well, this sucks to read right as I come off a concert high...damn too many gaffer dropping as of late..R.I.P. to the guy that entertained us with really twisted news stories :(

News comes as a huge shock to me but there's not much else to say other than despite some disturbing news threads, he was a great and respected poster as shown by this thread. Sounds like he was a fighter aswell. Life is so cruel.
 
Ok, I think I found his obituary with some sleuthing. Not sure if it was posted but I won't post it here. I just wanted to see his picture and read it. Damn I really feel sad :(
