Once you get to like mission 10 in DMC3, the game is easy as all hell. I went from mission 10-19 without dying once. Final boss I died but I raped him the next fight. In fact, he didn't even touch me! GOGOGO TRICKSTER

DMC4 = Action GOTY 2007
It has been called by the great Dahbomb.
Agreed.
Not that it bothers ME, but they do need to fix the balance. Just l ike in DMC1, DMC3 isn't that hard.. There's just huge hurdles that come out of nowhere.
In 1 it was Phantom, which owned people left and right, and in 3 there's Fido, and to a lesser extent Agni & Rudra. People tend to be ok before and after them, but they get stuck there.
So long as my DMD mode is still DMD, I'm fine, though.

The DMC3:SE Gold Orb continue system is probably enough to make the game accessible.
DMC is about stylish combat on a one-on-one basis (with 5 or 6 guys on the 'round).

I think DMC could take some design notes from less popular titles like P.N.03 and Bujingai. With less of the bull limited enemies in tiny areas, and larger areas where you have to move from battle to battle to keep your combo running. Similar to P.N.03, and P.N.03 had that sweet ass meter that indicated how much time you had before the combo connection expired.
I'm not overly interested in juggling enemies ad nauseam.
Since Capcom is accommodating so much flexibility in the game, I don't see why they couldn't incorporate a system such as this; so if you want to sit around and beat up one enemy, or six over and over, you can. And if you want to kill everything as fast as possible, you can.
Didn't they try the larger area thing with DMC2.
Well then I'm a wimp. But I'm a wimp with too many other great games to play without having to be 'forced' into perfecting the game's combat systems to progress, and have to play through entire, boring-as-shit-cleared-six-times-already levels just to get back to those points. I may not be great at the game, but I'm certainly not shit (I beat DMC1), and demanding as much as DMC3 does is just unnecessary IMO.Himuro said:DMC3 ISN'T as hard as people make it out to be. Heian-kyo said:Supposedly the SE fixes that...
Can I play the normal difficulty without the shitty nonexistent checkpoint/continue system?C- Warrior said:Yes it does. DMC3:SE has it's difficulty balls chopped off, now go buy it and play a fan-fuckin-tastic action game.

That's awesome, exactly what I was hoping for. That'll save so much time, and IMO make the game 100 billionty times more accessible. GH purchase here I come!C- Warrior said:Normal mode in DMC3:SE is actually easy mode from DMC3: DA. But yes, you can choose infinite continues (gold) on or off (yellow) on any difficulty setting.
And as said above, DMC3: DA had a checkpoint system, you just had to buy them. DMC3:SE gives you them for free, that is the only difference.
