Honestly, if you live in NYC, your options for everything are instantly better than most of us.
Someone else beat me to it, but it's not always an issue of paying more just to pay more. It's about getting better quality. i'm just gonna toss out Diesel because that's a brand i can remember ATM, but if you can honestly tell me that a $20 pair of American Pride (or whatever Walmart brand is) jeans feels and looks as good as a $100 pair of Diesels, well, i just have no words. Target's as low as i'll go with jeans, and they have to be on clearance and look good for me to pull the trigger. That's rare. Don't get me wrong, i grew up without much money, so stores like Walmart and JC Penney were pretty much essential, But once you have clothes that actually fit your body and feel good while doing so, you don't want any less.
