Shadow's now an antagonist again? Chaos is back? Zavok (and the rest of the Deadly Six I guess, though not shown) survived? And with Metal Sonic with them too, I guess it means they're all on Eggman's side?
And there's this new villain with the name Infinite? I thought this was going to be about taking the world back from Eggman? Unless that's how Eggman took over, and so I guess --as par for the course-- this new villain is going to be the another monster of the week everyone will have to stop? It's like they're trying to make a game that's both Generations 2 and Sonic Adventure 3 at the same time.

Well I wasn't sure which part of the ending was bad.
Was it Armageddon from Sonic Fanfiction or that I haven't invested enough in stock footage of eyeballs since Sega and MS are on a roll with them?

I think Lost World was at its worst when it tried to do drama.
Actually it was at its worst when the only female boss berates Sonic for ruining her nail art but I digress

Every creative part of it, the idea, the art, the tone... looks like like how I would have never made a Sonic game. The only thing saving this trailer is the colorful section with classic sonic.

Certainly looks interesting. I enjoyed Colors and Generations, and even Lost World to some degree, so I'll have fun with this.

One thing I am concerned about this game other than it's all over the place is the amount of assets they're reusing. Death Egg Robot, Egg Dragoon, Green Hill Zone and now the baddie from Sonic: Lost World.
Like if they threw in the Egg Hornet and Fang/Nack it'd feel like a relatively fresh game but my worry is they're trying to save the cash and use as much from Sonic Generations / Lost World as possible.
I really loved this comic arc, one of my favourite from Fleetway.

I'm not really feeling this trailer. It's like Sonic Generations but so much more convoluted and tonally off. We don't need classic Sonic once again. We have Mania for that, and it's been done already. Modern Sonic's gameplay is basically Generations/Unleashed again, which is fine, but I wonder how long that formula can go on without being stale. While the character creator feature is a nice gimmick, I'm still bummed that we cant play as Sonic's side characters yet again. It's like Dragon Ball, with the creators constantly giving us new characters instead of utilizing the ones already established. And I really didn't care for all the past villains coming back again. Didn't we get enough of that in Generations?

Yeah the Deadly Six were the worst. This is already an improvment.
It has been awhile since we had a final boss that wasn't Eggman :O
