It is, but based on the antenna they're just Sonic androids like the Sonic Simulator in Colors.

they've clearly slowed sonic down, but the level layouts are awful,
just like one long corridor where you have to quickly shift left or right.
why can't they stick to 2d, sonic just doesn't work in 3d like this.
i hope this turns out good, but i'm not optimistic.

No. This just isn't true. Bad level design doesn't mean this concept doesn't work.

All this game needs to be perfect is momentum and better level design in some places.

No. This just isn't true. Bad level design doesn't mean this concept doesn't work.

the concept works but not with these level designs.
i've looked at most of the videos,
all the 2d sections seem to look great and work perfectly.
the 3d ones, seem to be the problem yet again, slowing sonic down was a good idea to help control him.
but when it speeds up, it goes seems to fall apart. the 3d sections look too cramped, they need to be far more open with blockades/obstacles.
To be honest i'm not sure how sonic could ever work in 3d.
i think they are probably doing the best they can, i just hope it switches to a 2d perspective for most of the game, and that the 3d sections are mostly obstacle free but just to show off the speed.
It looks stunning, i just hope it controls well enough.
