Deep breath. Sonic Unleashed is released in North America on November 18 for Wii and PS2, on November 24 for Xbox 360, and on December 12 for PS3. The European dates are November 14 for PS2 and Wii, November 28 for Xbox 360 and December for PS3. The game is delayed in Japan until Spring 2009.

Are you sure thats right? Many of the retailers for the EU places list Sonic Unleashed as coming at Nov 30 or later...All versions.

They've updated their story:

[Update] N.B. The above dates cannot be 100% confirmed at the time of press, and are based on our best source retail listings - they do not come from Sega. Please keep an eye out for final official release date confirmation(s).

At least the European date is probably wrong. According to the Sega website the Wii and PS2 versions of Sonic Unleashed will see the light of day on the same date as the 360 version: November 28.

The layout for the daytime levels is entirely different, and IIRC the Wii version removes the hub world (not that it's a big loss, apparently).

Plus motion controls and all.

SEGA America doesn't ship their games to stores ahead of time, they ship it out on the date websites have down.

Due to the economy I'm probably getting the Wii version (or even the PS2 version since it's like the same thing and cheaper by another 10 dollars), but I'll give the HD version a shot when I have the time/money.

1 team for the 360 and PS3 version , so those versions wouldn't have lower quality

1 team for the PS2 and Wii version for the sake of making money

Thank you, I need it. Since it is DiMPS vs Sonic Team essentially, it is classic Sonic Team whatnot VS speed. Regardless, it will be a shitfest. I am almost done prepping the thread. Expect it this weekend, as some of us will have the game as soon as monday or tuesday.

Well remember that Sonic 06 was supposed to be on the Wii as well.

As for Sonic Team not designing the Wii levels... That may be more of a blessing than anything if the Dimps version holds up with the Rush series.

We haven't really seen any comprehensive walkthroughs for the Wii version like we have with the PS360 version.
