somebody needs to stop david cage.
but a game about a robot trying to become human is the perfect game for david cage to make.
somebody needs to stop david cage.
I can see how that would be boring. During the Destiny 2 trailer, banners from the game got lowered around the whole room.
Here's during the MH trailer
Kind of a weird conference. They have a decent lineup of stuff still coming out in 2017 and many were all relegated to the pre-show. thinking maybe I blinked and missed a sizzle reel or something...
Crash Trilogy, Wipeout - this month
Everybody's Golf - August
Knack 2 - September
Niño kiuni 2 a - November
GT Sport - Fall (ok this one might still get delayed lol)
And some other third party ps4/pc stuff iirc.
It sold me on the Xbox One X. I already own a PS4 and Xbox One, but was looking to upgrade to either Pro or One X and i didn't really see anything from Sony that i wouldn't be happy enough to play on my PS4. No game that really blew my mind and demanded a PS4 Pro. Underwhelming conference indeed.
I feel similarly tbh.It sold me on the Xbox One X. Could someone tell me what game this screenshot is from? It was in the sizzle reel just before the beginning of the conference:

No game would ever do that with you.
You may not understand what the Pro is. Is an upgrade, not a new console.
Same with XboXoneX, by the way. Eventhough that one seems like a new one.
It's so weird to me how much perception has shifted. We have gone from "Too much fluff! Too much talking!" all the way to "Why aren't the developers talking onstage?" I think Bethesda and Ubisoft probably hit the sweet spot, in terms of how much of their show should be video versus how much should be talking.

Yep people were saying how bored the crowd was too. It's so weird to me how much perception has shifted. We have gone from "Too much fluff! I do understand what the Pro is and it still doesn't change the fact that the conference did nothing to sell me on one. I had hoped for a killer conference to really show me that doubling down on Sony with the PS4 Pro was the way i should go. I had hoped to see new games to win me over, but it was more like Microsofts conference in that department. It was more about showing more of games we already knew.
Yep people were saying how bored the crowd was too.
Holy Fuck this was the worst E3 I've ever seen, literally only Wolfenstein hyped me up. Games industry better have good shit to offer next year cos this was junk.
That wasn't my point. We knew about almost all of the games and besides call of duty and Destiny they're all 2018. They completely ignored indie games and the psvr stuff was so terrible. That's actually where I think the conference imploded and could never recover from... psvr.
I also hope there is more to Spider-Man. Looked like one big awful QTE. It was pretty looking I guess. Shrug.
I do just have to say that I am still so underwhelmed by Days Gone. Outside of the zombie group tech, everything looks really boring and generic. I mean, Horizon didn't exactly have any ground breaking new gameplay features, but they put it in such a cool and unique setting, and just made everything feel so good. Days Gone is like the opposite of that. Boring, overused setting, and the gameplay looks like worse versions of other games. I just feel like there are stuff in the game, like the beautiful graphics and interesting zombie tech, that could have been used in a much more original way. Hopefully the game turns out well, but right now I'm just not feeling it.
That wasn't my point.
I don't really know what to make of Days Gone. The zombies appear in such fast, insurmountable numbers that there's no reason to try and fight against them. After this conference it seems like humans will be the enemies a lot more than the zombies.
Deacon's decision to find and save his friend begins a harrowing journey that demonstrates the core of the Days Gone experience: if something moves, it probably wants to kill you. And the Horde is just one of your problems. Last year we introduced three types of Freakers: Swarmers were adults when infected and are dangerous whether alone or moving in packs; Newts were children when infected and tend to use hit-and-run tactics from above; Hordes are large groups of Swarmers – and by large we mean hundreds – that move and react as if a single entity. This year we're introducing three new types: Runners are infected wolves that can outrun and attack a Drifter bike, sending the rider sprawling; Ragers – infected bears – are powerful and almost impossible to kill; and Swarms, smaller than Hordes but more common and almost as deadly.
But the biggest threat in Days Gone isn't Freakers – it's other people. Bad people. Marauders, Squatters, Drifters, Raiders – call them what you will, if you step outside the relative safety of the encampments, they will try to kill you. This is one of the things that makes Days Gone unique: you don't have to seek out danger. Wherever you're going, whatever you're doing – the world comes for you. In the media showcase demo Deacon is attacked by a Runner and deals with it, but while he's distracted — WHAM. He rides into a rope strung across the road, throwing him from his bike. In Days Gone, ambushes are almost never scripted events but are part of a dynamic open-world system – Marauders can attempt to ambush you almost anytime and anyplace. Taking out their camps can make the broken road safer, but that isn't always easy. Thankfully, Deacon has access to an arsenal of skills, weapons, crafted items, traps and most importantly, the various dynamic systems we have in place.
The bad news with Freakers is that Runners, Ragers, Swarms and Hordes want to kill you and eat you. The good news: they also want to kill and eat Marauders. Last year you saw Deacon running for his life from a Horde; this year, you see him using a Swarm as a weapon against a Marauder camp. The possibilities are almost endless and are an important part of our strategic sandbox combat.
https://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/06/12/how-and-why-youll-fight-to-survive-in-days-gone/If you're at E3, stop by the PlayStation booth to get a look at an alternate version of our gameplay demo. We changed up the time of day, the weather, and the dynamic events, and Deacon uses a completely different strategy to take on the Marauder camp, this time going in with guns blazing. For those of you who can't make it to E3, don't worry: in the next few weeks we'll be uploading that gameplay video as well.
Sup Bruce have not seen you in a long time.Pretty uneventful. It wasn't boring and moved quickly but no big wow's outside of God of War.
So far games of the show:
1) Anthem
2) God Of War
3) Spiderman
I can tell you right now that unless something changed, that isn't happening either.Biggest disappointment for me was no From Software. Maybe at TGS.
We ll, most. What? They didn't even say that Detroit and Days Gone are 2018 games
I don't know what it is, but the Youtube and Twitch streams were very, very, bad this year watching Sony's conference. The Youtube stream kept buffering and the Twitch stream didn't have sound. It kind of in a way would've ruined the conference for me if it wasn't for the likes of God of War, and Spider-Man. 2018 and beyond looks insane for Sony. Even this year has already been incredible and it's not over yet.
What? They didn't even say that Detroit and Days Gone are 2018 gamesIm also very happy about the fact that all of the titles shown were coming soon rather than 2019 or beyond.
