No release dates for Days Gone, Detroit, or GT Sport still... Dreams was MIA... Were MonHun and SOTC the only new announcements? Spider-Man gameplay reveal was nice but wow, that was kind of underwhelming.

Makes me wonder if there's some truth to the idea of the PS5 being closer than we think. I wasn't expecting a lot going in because of how much we'd seen already, but that was very by-the-numbers. Felt like they were just coasting.

That was a downright underwhelming Sony conference.
Sony should consider themselves lucky that Spider-Man's gameplay demo was downright amazing.
Without Insomniac, this was a by-the-numbers conference by every measure.
That and I suppose the 10% of Monster Hunter fans that don't want to play that franchise on handhelds are happy.

Definitely should have put some of the pre-show in the main show, or had more live demos. Though that would require making the show itself longer than an hour to get through all the content.

it was an ok showing. We got spoiled by the last 2 amazing years. The problem for Sony was the lack of new announcement.

But i think they kinda came to their senses with announcing stuff that is 2-3 years out.

I mean 80 percent of what they showed off had an ambiguous 2018 release date and a lot of it was stuff we already knew about so I'm not so sure about that. If anything it seems like we're doubling down on having three E3 cycles for games.

Spider-Man looked nice and so did the Shadow of the Colossus remake, but this conference was hugely disappointing compared to Sony's last two. Last year's was so much better paced.

Really disappointed that Sony and MS didn't have big new exclusive announcements.
