No one but I'm expressing concern they might be since a lot of popular big companies in the west do in some (limited) form.Who said they are?
In more accurate news, water is actually not wet. Being a liquid, water is not itself wet, but can make other solid materials wet.“If you emit sound waves, in the presence of human beings who are able and willing may record said sound waves. In other news, water is wet and people still cry over stupid shit they read far too much into.”
Sony is being roasted for it on twitter cause ppl can't read and wanna be outraged. But whatever.Funny how Xbox got roasted for this yet you have users in here defending it.
Say it with me, "reading is fundamental."
Please read!
Sad that Xbox and/or their fans feel the need to do this tho, right?
Please read?
Did someone flick your grundle? Is that the awakening we so famously know you for?Stop being shitty, Sony, Please.
How is this even a thread? This is possible 100% of the time when you play on a PC...
Reading is difficult aye?Good. Some stupid kids ruin what are otherwise enjoyable parties. This might make games like FIFA more enjoyable online, as you can just report the dumbass who keeps shouting racist shit over and over. You can't always get a group of friends together for certain games, and public chats are a necessity. But there are far too many unsupervised kids allowed to carry on like dicks, when all the rest of us want to do is communicate team strategy properly via voice chat. I wonder if this has been an option for a while, or if it's just new.
Don't be an asshole while chatting with people on a game console is not a political ideology. Or at least it shouldn't be.I know the answers to those questions, and so does the us legal system. I'm curious what Sony thinks of them.
Edit: In case it wasn't clear, I don't think Sony should be enforcing any kind of political ideology if I were to use party voice chat.
By other users on the party chat. So, well, aye. Don't harass folk I suppose.
Exactly even though this isn’t constant voice recording it’s still a subtle way of policing people’s speech.Of course, of course. I mean it's not like anyone can ever have malicious intent to frame someone as an "harasser", nope. That never happens. I totally legit trust resetera-esque folk to record everything I might ever say & it'll never be held against me.
Man Sony can suck a dick. Outchea eating tide pods and doing goofy shit.
Oh shit, Sony defense force is doing damage control. Glad you guys took the time from your busy lives!
Sony encouraging thought policing and snitching can FUCK RIGHT OFF. And indeed it does certainly look like they're opening the door to third parties monitoring chats too.
may be recorded and sent to us by other users.
why are people in this thread being so damn obtuse?
I actually understand exactly what they wrote. I'm not accusing Sony of spying or any nonsense. I think you might have difficulty reading what I wrote, as no one else seems to have had that issue.Reading is difficult aye?
Yeah, but that reality makes this thread "uninteresting."

Fucking sad that they have to clarify what is perfectly clear already.
