Its pretty sad that these agents of FUD always serve the same masters. I mean seriously, when did you last see a Nintendo or Playstation affiliated site go after Xbox in the same way?
 
They should not have made a console that they had to push to a high frequency that would produce a massive amount of heat. They should have went slow and wide like microsoft.
 
The Microsoft propaganda is in full swing. Since the Series X announcement and more-so since the PlayStation 5 GDC talk, it's literally been FUD. You couldn't write how biased some of this shite is. How the fuck do Microsoft have information about Sony having manufacturing issues? Cerny seemed very impressed with the PS5 cooling solution, I trust him and his judgement.

It's only FUD because you don't want it to be true. Maybe they figure out a design around this. Who knows. The fact that the PS4 Pro is as loud as an F-15 taking off in your living room does lend some credibility to this, though...

Current design of the chasis has thermal issues according to the article which they speculate why the console hasn't been shown off yet. Jesus you really are taking that article personal aren't you?

How would Jez Corden and other MS insiders have access to the chassis of the PS5 that hasn't even been shown or hinted at? Reported for console warring.

Nowhere in the original article is the word "panic" used. You could probably get a job writing headlines for CNN or MSNBC.

You can pretend to be innocently passing along a story from your newsfeed but you came up with the thread title all by yourself, right?

How do you know that it is true? I saw something on my Facebook feed that Disney is looking to buy Nintendo and the fact that Nintendo's catalogue is very family friendly and similar to Disney's core values further leads me to believe this is true. In fact, a web site run by Nintendo enthusiasts said that their sources said this was true also. Do you believe that it's true? ;)

But this is the point isn't it? How does anyone know that any of this is true? I personally just think it's bullshit and simply speculation. It doesn't matter to me in the slightest if it's true or not. The corona virus delay would give Sony time to address this so, non-issue.

However, what I do hold issue with is the manner in that you're holding this article as gospel truth and generally being quite flippant to anyone who can see through the masquerade and smell the bullshit. Like, how Microsoft has knowledge about Sony's internal testing and manufacturing process. The problem is when you throw mud, it does tend to stick after a while.

Mark Cerny spent considerable time talking about the fact that power efficiency in previous consoles made them prone to getting hot and loud. One of the things they wanted to address with PS5 was this very issue. He said himself that he was proud of the cooling solution that Sony have designed and he can't wait to show us? Also, the way the console works allows the system to monitor and control power and heat and adjust accordingly to prevent the console getting hot. It's literally all in the GDC design talk that people have done nothing but whine about. This is the supposed 'deep dive' were going to get sometime soon(y)

If someone like Jason Schrier and well known journalists start saying there is a problem, then I would believe it. But honestly just check your sources and validation. Google is promoting trending articles and their systems do advertise to you based on your cookies and advertised content. You must have some sort of XBOX related media on there because it showed up on your Google feed right? But Google doesn't have to validate anything.

I'd be a bit smarter tbf.
 
Let's be real, the PS5s GPU clocked that high is gonna run hot, real hot. But I have no doubt Sony will have a cooling solution to fix it.

Like all rumors it should be taken with a grain of salt. That being said, given the time left until release at least SOME PEOPLE have seen and heard something close to the final unit.

does that mean it's true? well 90%+ of the rumors regarding the PS5 were false so far, so take the mountain of salt but most is not never and 2.23Ghz is actually pretty fast for a GPU clock.

This is probably a dramatic overreaction, though. It may be true the PS5 gets hot, and some units might be failing, but we have absolutely no solid info on the system's design yet. Until we get it, this will be hearsay at best. Also remember that PlayStation represents over 20% of Sony's quarterly earnings. They have a lot riding on the PS5 and it's unlikely they'd ship a product that runs so hot.

What axe? You guys jumped all over me for sharing an article about potential overheating problems and the panicking term was in the headline on my Google Feed. I didn't add that in. Jesus Christ.
 
I can't wait for the new systems to come out. Not just so I can play ps5 but also so these dumbass posts based on no facts and linked from backwater websites will end.

I never buy consoles on launch anyway. Wait a couple months to see if they have problems. In general I always had enough games to play that I waited till revisions like the ps3 slim etc. before I even got new gen systems.
