Nothing will top the hype. But it can easily be beaten by showing more of what was announced, gameplay, trailers, updates. Sony really just has to give Ps4 some new feature, a few surprises from Japan studio and maybe one new first party reveal and the rest of the show updates on the incredible announcements made this year.

What they should do is show a sizzle reel of PSVR games (The Kitchen, London Heist, The Deep, Robinson: The Journey, etc) and then say "There are dozens of PSVR units on the conference floor for visitors to use, so please go and give it a try yourselves."

I think the biggest thing was the Uncharted 4 gameplay debut.

Okay crazy theory time.

What if FF VII Port is cover for the FFVII Remake and we will get a full blowout at PSX with a release date for march next year (FF XV pushed back to help this and why we have to wait till march for more info on FF XV).
The actual port will just be an emulated version and why we've had to wait so long with an uprez/ trophies and out after the PSX conference.
