Sony PlayStation Vita Live Stream!

Katamri Damacy looks as fun as it ever been. No signs of Farmville shenanigans yet. #calledit #nuclearmuffinowned

The bit about some games cutting communication while in game is really disheartening. While Katamari didn't seem to give the hard prompt, the message DJmizuhara sent was only received when the message app was launched.

Hopefully this issue has more to do with PSN's launch congestion.

It doesn't sound like anything a firmware level update wouldn't fix. This is a completely new OS after all. I'd expect them to be ironed out pretty quickly.

Vita remains godly, and log mode looks like the biggest gameplay change in Katamari ever, unless there were some changes in the other titles I don't know about. Btw I can't believe these guys are still live streaming, they've been going like 10 hours.

They actually went for dinner and took a break. The stream only came back on a little while back.

Martin says it's 30fps locked.

*edit* he now says there are framerate drops. Not locked after all.

You could clearly see the frames drop frequently, and I've noticed the same thing in other footage from Youtube.

I wish it wasn't so.. but unless they fix it I'll skip! Might get the soundtrack though, sounds fantastic.

Such a shame, I spent so many hours on Ridge Racers for PSP (which was either solid 30fps or 60fps.. can anyone confirm?)

I want a Vita so bad.. even just to play around with the UI, download demo's from PSN, etc... I'm not sure if I can wait until February!!!

I can confirm that the framerate drops - played it last month but was hoping for some polish but I guess that didn't happen

What I did play though was pretty decent... but I don't want to buy DLC

framerate of ridge racer looked not really good. How can someone make a game with this few tracks/cars/features and then don't at least polish the remaining bits to max...

Have they given any battery impressions? I'm guessing the guy onscreen is plugged in, but how about the others?

I think it was mentioned that it was 3-4 hours at max brightness. Some guy in one of the threads mentioned he got 4-5 hours on it, presumeably not on max brightness and w/o wifi.

That 2 seconds of game footage looked lovely

Yeah the game looks great in parts.. the shadows on that bridge and skybox detail made it look gorgeous.

To provide perspective, the original (also launch-title) Ridge Racers had 12 courses and 31 tracks. I wish I didn't sell my PSP, I really feel like playing it now. (I'd buy a PSP Go if you could find it in Europe.. )

I don't want to see internet battle. I want to see framerate and online battle could have lag that looks like dropped frames.

The music, the wide roads (the optional Nitrous.. ugh I dont like Nitrous in RR)

I really want this in 60fps.. they need to patch it!!!! Wasn't the man in charge of this game a developer of repute and honour? Did they have three months to develop the game? Someone find him on Twitter.
