I don't know what it is; I see the comparison pictures but this just doesn't hit me as a "must-buy" upgrade like the PSP 2000 did. Both this and the DSi feel like very minimal hardware upgrades over their predecessors.

I'm usually quick to buy the latest hardware revisions but I don't know about this time.

sony's engineers are quite brilliant, in my opinion. so much bang for your buck, solely speaking in regards to hardware. what do psps retail at now $169? well, i'd like to see that price come down a bit but it's still an amazing engineering feat at that price.
