Sony's Launch Line Up: How many and Who?

So far we have seen some prospects. Question is who and how many will there be?

If there is Watchdogs, Killzone and Drive Club. I will get those.

Curious to see how many there will be and who in first party will show up?

Will Knack be a launch window game?

I'm kind of curious about it, although it seemed framey as hell at the conference... unless that was just the stream

Last night I was hoping Sony would bring out Rockstar and they would say "Hey guys, remember this game? Well we have been secretly working on it and have decided it will be a PS4 launch title."

I can always dream.

after E3 we'll know how many exactly. i'm expecting about maybe 10 games. we know 1 is a new IP (Knack).

i'm expecting at least 2 more.

EDIT: oops. knack was never confirmed for launch? i'll still stick to it.

Square Enix... Versus XIII (FFXV?) cross generation title shown at E3 WILL be a launch title. Why? 7+ years and the points listed below (and then the points I'm potentially missing).

I say this because too many points indicate this.

- Noctis perfume.
- Nomura's comment about the warm spring
- Nomura's artwork at the FF25th anniversary of Noctis
- Shinji Hashimoto (Versus producer) as always "LOOK FORWARD TO..."!!

Mind you this is totally grasping at straws here but I firmly believe it will be the game we know as Versus XIII.

I thought the art-style was awful, and the gameplay looked like one of the current gen lego games.

I honestly think that's what they're going for. Kinda like Kameo. Looks nice enough, family-friendly and easy to play. The average gamer is getting older and having more kids every year right now. I know as a 36 year old dad, I'm interested in a console that can give me both a kid-friendly and an adults-only experience as well as everything in between.

Confirmed for PS4 launch so far:
Killzone Shadow Fall
Watch_Dogs
Drive Club
Infamous Second Son

kind of skeptical of the list, as all the sites reporting it seem to just be assuming.

it seemed smooth to me, but when he demo'ed the Vita remote play it was tearing a LOT.

nevermind, I just realized that's when it seemed super framey to me. Wasn't paying close attention at all

I'm curious about it because I recognize who is behind it and actually place a fair amount of trust in what they must be trying to accomplish with it, and I even dig the art style (for everything that isn't the particle effect man, who just looks sort of unappealing).

Not sure if I'll buy into it if it's just a beat-em-up with size changing features, but I look forward to seeing how the concept expands.

I really hope Namco announces a new Ridge Racer game at E3.

admit it, you just want them to do this so Kaz can say "Riiiiidge Racer" ;)

P.S. I so want this too, as long as it's a traditional Ridge Racer game. That last shit was another needless 'reboot' that turned everything into shit :(

How could anyone tell anything about the gameplay of Knack from the two seconds that were shown?

All I could tell is that it's not gritty or a shooter, which is enough to make me want to see more.

i think it looked great. it had that pixar/dreamworks stylization to where it looked realistic/smooth/sharp enough without looking REAL. you know? i feel like i could reach out and touch that world and it would all feel like velvet-covered vinyl. just awesome.

also seemed really light-hearded and easy going. (speaking of ni no kuni...)

i can see Killzone and Knack being launch titles. they both had gameplay demos that were confirmed to actually be running off of developer boxes. Watch_Dogs is confirmed by Ubisoft themselves that it will be a launch title, although they said it was running off a modified and closely spec'ed PC during the show. so if THEY are that confident then i can see those other titles being realistic for November.

i just want to try that awesome assault/sniper combo rifle on Killzone. :(

Well that's half of it!:P But I really enjoyed both RR6 and RR7.. You don't really get those kinds of games anymore imo.

A Ridge Racer game with the typical style of a Japanese made RR but with sweet sweet next gen graphics would make me very happy in the pants. Here's hoping Japan period gets back on its feet.

I could tell a great deal, actually.

+ There is some basic action combat gameplay
+ Knack can use his size to unlock certain inherent abilities that aren't possible if you're too much one way or the other way (for example certain places inaccessible to you if you have all your particles connected to your character; certain switches only reachable if you have just enough particles attached)
+ Some sort of comic war going on; Knack is a secret weapon?
+ Knack has other abilities that you can utilize if you transform your particles into certain areas of your body (example would be turning your hand into a hammer or something)

I'm hoping they have a solid japanese game at launch, hopefully something at E3. I don't think Knack is going to make PS4's sell in Japan.

So if we're looking at Killzone, Watch Dogs, and that racing game, that's a pretty strong launch on paper. Not sure if it's for me though. Maybe if Knack makes it depending on how that turns out.

I hope they will space out releases so there are no droughts. Killzone and Knack at launch, maybe Driveclub as well. Second son the next big release along with some unannounced stuff in early 2014.

Guess I have to watch the presentation and trailer again because that sounds cool.

SO far the only game I'm interested in getting is Infamous(Watchdogs is going to be on PC and I'll need to see reviews for Knack before I even think about buying it) but we don't know if its a launch title.

Do yourself the favor. Download the direct feed HD trailer from gamersyde and watch it on your TV. The gameplay portions look gorgeous!
