"Certain games were only upstairs or only downstairs for both consoles. Titanfall, which is what we wanted to play, was upstairs only, hence why we were told what we were.

So they didn't see Titanfall?

Yeah it was a custom built stand, along with many of the other stands there on the weekend. Only Sony and Xbox had an upstairs section though.

If I knew this would happen I wouldn't have post it, unbelievable that people can turn this into a negative.

How to start a console war thread:

1. Include both "Sony" and "Microsoft" words in the OP post.

Both Sony and Microsoft had similar sections at the show. I can't say if the story was real of not but I found the reps from both companies to be nice and totally professional.

Well I'm not really surprised since this was Sony Australia, they've been pretty generous in my experience.

Back before the PS2 launch, I was doing some reviews for a gaming website, and without really asking they gave us a PS2 debug unit to play with for a couple of weeks, including stuff like the GT2000 demo They were really good to work with. Admittedly that was quite a while ago.

I think people need to stop looking at this as MS did something negative, but more that Sony did something very nice that surprised the guy. MS isn't evil for simply apologizing to the guy that the game he wanted to try wasn't wheelchair accessible. They aren't evil because they didn't give a free One.

If Sony didn't do this, I really don't think it would have reflected badly on MS to be honest. They had playable consoles that were wheelchair accessible just not Titanfall (according to the guy), Sony had all consoles unreachable by wheelchairs and only PS4s on the ground floor were on Ubi's booth.

Pretty good on Sony's part though, above and beyond and a little good PR goes a long way.

We're discussing this in another forum, and here's what an attendee said.

there were literally 10 xbox ones upstairs with dead rising 3 on it. titanfall, ryse, minecraft, zoo tycoon, forza 5 and a few other games, along with 90 more xbox one consoles, were all on the ground and wheelchair accessible.

if the xbox area told them you can't try it, that's not saying they didn't play xbox one, it's saying they couldn't try dead rising 3.

that green wall on the bottom left was a closed off room with about 20 xbox's in there playing ryse, on the other side was titanfall, upstairs there were 10 consoles in a small room with dead rising 3.
