Uh, what? Popular = GOOD, wtf is wrong with you? For SC2, all of the big players from SC1 were still around up until around nationals, and then they either stopped or got older (aka life outside of games). Why don't you compare the level of talent from SC2 to SC3, and you'll see that almost NO ONE who was considered among the top tier players for SC2 actually plays SC3 anymore, because the game sucks. So let's break it down.
SC1 - Tiny community, decent players... not too much difference between a "really good player" and a "good player" simply because there just wasn't enough competition.
SC2 - HUGE community, with a world of great players, lots of competition, and so far the only SC game to actually be recognized as a tournament-worthy title.
SC3 - Back to small community with only a handful of top level players. Not even considered for Evolution that year. You know why? THE GAME SUCKED.
Yes, we're not biased.
Tekken does not need Guard Impact (it already has universal low parries), does not need 8wr (why the hell does a close combat fighter need a slowass walk?), and is still more balanced than SC. There's a reason why Tekken is more popular than SC, and that's because it's actually GOOD, where as SC is still the B tier game.
