Probably one of the hottest days ever. It's 109 already. Luckily my house still feels cool. I'll give it another hour or two for it to start boiling.

The hell's going on in Thousand Oaks? (anyone who lives here, fuck you btw)

Other coastline areas (like Santa Monica and Malibu) are 111/112 so being next to the ocean isnt helping out either :lol

edit: just checked and thousand oaks is supposedly 110. That picture is odd.

Wow, I just read the news that LA hit 113 degrees, which is an all-time record high for LA since they've been keeping records (1877). Wow.

Down here in northern coastal San Diego, it's 102 degrees. Crazy. The heat basically woke me up today.

Yeah, it's about 111 over here in Arcadia. Jumping into the car for lunch sucked ass and having the windows down felt like I was blasting the heater on super high. :lol

This is seriously weird as hell. This past summer was just beautiful, I don't think it got over 85 on any day. But now, when it's supposed to be cooling down it's 105. Had to come at some time I guess:lol

Downtown hit 113 degrees for a few minutes at about 12:15 p.m., breaking the old all-time record of 112 degrees set on June 26, 1990, said Stuart Seto, a weather specialist at the National Weather Service office in Oxnard. Temperature records for downtown date to 1877.

It was not clear whether 113 would remain the day's high. Temperatures continued to fluctuate around 112 later in the afternoon, Seto said. The old record high for a Sept. 27 was 106 degrees.

I say this is fucking hot, but at least it not humid. I'll take this shit over humid anyday.
Seriously humidity is the worst shit ever. I can easily take the heat. But that nasty, sticky, feels like ass sweat humidity in the air just kills it. VA gets mad humid most of the summer. Fucking hate it.

So while WALKING to college i almost melted alive, i just felt like going commando outside, thank god i have no school tomorrow because im not gonna go out. Now i know what hell feels like.

I was going to go to the gym and run on the treadmill for a hour but now I think I'll just walk outside for 5 minutes since I'll probably burn the same amount of calories.

I chose the wrongest day ever to move. :(

Have to move a couch, a fridge, a grill, tables, etc. tonight because it's the only night I have access to a large truck. Son of a bitch.

The ice cold beer at the end will make it all better.:D

yeah i know exactly what you're talking about

wouldnt it be crazy if the seasons changed.. like summer officially started in august

Summer officially starts around May 7th, and ends around August 7th.
Remember kids! The summer solstice, around June 21st, is the peak of summer, the dead center of it.

Just because air temperature lags a bit doesn't mean we can go willy-nilly when discussing our seasons, damn it.

I saw a fire in Thousand Oaks on my way home today. I drove with a piece of paper between my hand and my burning steering wheel. So damn hot!

Fuck I almost died on my trip to the post office. On the plus side I ran into dozens of high school girls in the skimpiest outfits. :D Totally forgot about the heat.

It was 105 in Irvine when I went outside for lunch and around 103 in Newport Beach. This is unheard of around here this late in the year. I drove out to Corona to meet up with my sisters for lunch yesterday and it was 109!

Yeah, when I checked my phone and it said it was 112 I thought something was broken. That's, like... 20 degrees hotter than it usually gets in the summer, not to mention fucking insane.

Officially the hottest day ever since they started recording temperatures - previous record was 111 in 1990.

can Michigan borrow 20 of you all's degrees?

I'll see if I can get a collection going for shipping.

Over 110 degrees?! Dear God. When was the last time it got that hot?

So glad I'm not back home in SoCal right now. It's a nice, breezy 70 degree week here in Saint Louis :lol
