Splatoon 2 Testfire Thread: This is a port...able game now

Jumping to your teammates on the map takes too long. D-pad alone should bring up the map and select who you want to jump to. It's should not be a combo button press.

Right analog stick only controls horizontaly?

Uninstalling...

You can turn off the motion controls and have normal right stick aiming from the weapon select screen....the gyro aiming is great once you get used to it though.

Using the Wii lan adapter.

Best purchase I ever made, its lasted me nearly 10 years and three consoles.

Yeah I had one with my Wii U but I bundled it in when I sold it to be nice xD

The wii u wifi was okayish. But the switch wifi HOLY FUCK is it garbage. My damn phone gets a stronger signal and it's 4 years old lol

Just gonna sit out the rest of the test fire at this point got a good taste of the games changes and stuff with the first 2

I'll have an adapter for when another testfire happens or retail since I just ordered one

Can't even get into a game to try it out, all I get is communication error. Ive tried restarting and even reconnecting to my wifi with no luck. Really unfortunate..

I'm working harder, but I really enjoy the rooms I've gotten since this morning.

Good snipers, people that actually zone me out, etc.

So much passive aggression about motion controls without bothering to look at the options lol

To be fair the options are kind of hidden. In just about every other shooter ever you adjust this sort of thing thing from within a match from the pause menu. You also normally don't have to "press start for options" on the character select screen.

For anyone having a hard time with the gyro controls, I recommend turning down the sensitivity and slowly turning it up as you get used to it. I hated it at first but love it now.

What shooters allow you to pause online during a match??

edit: Oh you mean mid match, not literally pausing

Lots of connection issues this time.
And some disgusting team carrying going on. =P

(Hell, you know theres lots of new players if I'M top of the team.)

One annoyance is I seem to physically hit people with the roller jump-splash and it doesnt affect people. =/

Also got killed by a charger when they weren't shooting and were facing the other way...

Despite being terrible with the jetpack ability, the dualies + curling grenade are too good to give up.
The jetpack is great allowing you to get around places you normally can't. With a few good shots you can take out an entire respawning team out.

Well they keep running out of the safe zone, don't blame me for shooting at them if they do.

This is really clicking with me. I guess I just never gave the first game that much of a chance or only used motion. Having a blast with the pro controller.

Playing with split joycons feels so good...like you're aiming a gun.

From the switches first reveal, I would have never imaged I would like split Joycons as much as I do....It's so damn freeing to not have a central point to hold a controller. Still getting adjusted to splatoon 2 with it...But once I get it down it'll be amazing!

I keep getting errors when I hit the shoulders buttons to start, did I miss an entry cut off or something?

Quick edit: seems I'm not the only one having problems. Bummer.

Quick edit 2: restarting worked.

I had horrible disconnect issues with the Wii U version, to the point I had to buy a Lan adapter and it still didn't help. Even stopped playing the game because of which. Now, I've played about 2 dozen (probably more) matches and not one time did I disconnect.

I was honestly using this testfire to test my connection to see if I would have the same problems as with the Wii U version and if I should even buy it at all, but since it's been flawless, this is absolutely a day one purchase.

Yeah I actually like the motion controls in Zelda.

This implementation is garbage though

I love Splatoon but I think I'm going to skip this one, PvP gets dry for me real quickly in any game and I played the first one to death.

If the campaign is dope or has co-op I'm back in, I'd also be back in if they have some kind of co-op horde, bot or challenge mode.

You aren't always aiming in Zelda. This games implementation is better in the long run but less intuitive coming from dual sticks. This is a fact
