Splinter Cell Blacklist "Closer than Ever" Stealth Video

I can't be the only one that thinks the very first takedown looks absolutely impotent. If someone got knocked out from this in wrestling he would be booed of the stage.

That wouldn't brake his neck. You mostly break neck if head gets twisted to the side and pressure is applied on upper spine/neck.

I'll take back what I said.

Even though it's improbable that the Vagus nerve can be strained in such a specific way as to cause unconsciousness while not destroying any vertebrae (as in the certain death of Christopher Reeves if he had been unattended) seems implausible to me but it's not biologically impossible.

More neck straining! :-D

That's a fun animation/knock out. There's nothing more to it than that folks. It's a game... With that said I hope there's more stealth options than in Conviction and their stealth system (shadows, sound) is retooled. Regardless I'll get some sort of entertainment from it.

That back rolling up kick is a bit much, but most of these animations look great. Still not getting fooled though, animations weren't' Conviction's issue in the slightest.

I think the roll is mainly to justify getting back into the crouching animation seamlessly.

So you don't need a trainer or actual cheats anymore, that for the enemies to die from one hit cuz you just push one button and your enemy will automaticaly go into unconscious mode by Sam's punch with an extra bonus of finishing the map in just 10 minutes. Also, I don't see that you will do anything else in the game, since you can directly sneak upon them throw behind your back one by one.

Sersiouly, even Dishonored is better at this point: grab the guard -> choked him -> drag the guard, hide him, something that first three from Splinter Cell series had; oh no, wait! you could interrogate as well.

What a limited imagination had become into this game. Looking at animations only.
You know in SCCT you could OHKO anyone lethal OR nonlethal right? They are pretty much just making more animations, which is cool I guess as long as they aren't too flash and everything.

It's nice they are doing that, but I need more to see if it's a stealth game. They have to prove it's even half as good as Chaos Theory.

Fuck the haters. this is one of my most hyped games. Looks incredible in every sense of the word. incredible animations, awesome kills, awesome action. day fucking 1.

I still don't know what to say about the cover movement that was from Conviction. Maybe I'm just old fashioned and don't feel like going at panther speeds.

Going by this video, it looks like they got rid of the black and white effect from Conviction that let the player know when they were hidden in darkness. Does that mean the light and shadow meter will return or are they going the Double Agent route where Sam will have a red/green light on his back?

ugh none of these can be considered silent takedowns, they all give room to shout. If rolling around is considered silent fighting then I will laugh myself to the grave.

Everything shown so far points to there being no hiding in the shadows but rather hiding behind cover :|

When i first saw the E3 vids i had zero interest in this game, but after the latest rooftop stealth vid, it's on my radar. Conviction was a decent game for what it was. I liked the stealth co op mode it had. Might just give this a go.
