Splinter Cell: DA 360 Multiplayer Demo Today!

Awesome demo. at first I hand trouble finding games but then I just kept using the quickmatch option. After that, I was able to get into ALOT more matches. Yeah I was Merc the majority of the time, but at still had a relatively smooth games.

My only criticism is the actual map, which seems to favor the spies. I just seems too vertical designed and feels like there are waaay too many places that a merc can't get to. Including like almost 20 percent of the map where the spies start. I mean, I'm able to put down quite a few spies in a given round but there is also just too many places it seems that they can either get away, hack from undeteced, or squeeze through....

then again, maybe I just suck and need to play more :D

...either way, I wasn't really hyped at all for Double Agent, but after this, I certainly am. Even playing through Chaos Theory again (which I never even finished)

Been looking forward to DA for a long time. Not a huge multiplayer fan, in any game really, though I played a game or two against bots. It was fun, but I can't wait for the single player. Just a few more days.

I love how streamlined the gameplay and controls are, makes playing for either side a breeze. Hopefully its not so simple that it gets boring.

Awful , awful demo...half the people keep getting disconnected and also, everyone must be in "ready" mode, so if someone isn't, you can't kick him all you can do is wait 'till the end of time. I wish they just released a SP demo. :(

The one game I managed to play all the way through really shows how unbalanced the mp is, though.

You know, this demo would've been way more awesome if you could have private games. That would allow me to play the game, rather than getting kicked off all the time. boourns.

Couldn't get into a match earlier today(hosts kept kicking me...weasels). Tonight though, I got into around 7 matches. Had a really good one on the merc side(we were in constant communication, protected our targets, and kicked the spies' butts).

When I had that problem, I just decided to host a game myself.

Heh, I couldn't figure out how to host it...but then again I only tried the demo after hours of playing GRAW and I was pretty tired.

How the heck do you host a game? there is only quick match and custom match. and neither gives you an option to host games, i thought the game decided automaticly who the host will be.

do the co-op challenge mission and after that it'll put you as a host for a game. i dont know if there's another way to do it, i only tried once.

At first i was pleasantly surprised with the graphics (especially the shadows casted by mercs' flashlights) but then i decided to boot Chaos Theory on my x360.
I was surprised to see it runs perfectly, i'd even venture into saying it's smoother in places. And boy, that game was gorgeous; i used to think Double Agent was quite a looker (actually, parts of it are, others are quite underwhelming) but after seeing chaos theory in 720p (upscaled or not) i demand much more from an x360. But after all, we've always known SC5 was the real deal.

Having said that, i had a very good time with the demo and i'll probably buy the full game when it's available in europe.

I can get into co-op games without a hitch but the custom game or quick match options always fail for me. I don't mind only being able to play co-op as the AI is pretty hot imo but I want to play merc :(

For anyone that used to play Chaos Theory or Pandora Tomorrow online, how is the DA multiplayer compared? I've read some die hard fans crying at it being toned down with many gadgets chopped. Is this just fanboy whinging or have they butchered it to make it more accessible?
I only tried a SC online once, late in the life of Chaos Theory and even after the tutorials I was completely out of my depth so gave up.

Apparantly the connection issues with the demo have been rectified but with Live down I can't check.

Ubisoft recognized the problem and has reportedly fixed the issue. A company rep told GameSpot, "We have received reports that some consumers have had connection issues with the MP demo over the past weekend. We have determined that it was a server issue--demand was too high and there were not enough servers to host everyone. The issue has been resolved and players should now be able to play via Xbox Live."

I've always had connection isuue's with Ubi Soft games on XBL. Still unable connect to a game

Leaving private games out was stupid
