Show looks horrible in motion, but even in stills the art is awful. Ep4 was pretty bad looking too. Seems like every few eps they're just outsourcing it for $5-10. I'm almost ready to bail and just read the manga, but then you have eps like ep6 that surprise you and I bet the anime does a better job with the surprises.

Yeah, animation in ep 4 of Bokurano was pretty lousy, but I expected it from Gonzo anyways. And if what you're saying about the sexual content in ep 7 is true, that would mean they didnt tone the manga as much as I believed they would...

Too bad I won't be seeing it until like the end of the summer. Triad hasn't even gotten Ep 5 out yet...I'm putting my money on them releasing it on the 22nd.

Is her story continuing in episode 8 or did it finish in 7? If its continuing, well see how the anime really manages to stay true to the manga's tone next week.

Btw, I do reccomend reading the manga anyways, theyve changed around enough stuff anyways, and if the show continues to be well made (well storywise anyway) it should still have the same impact as the manga, if not more.

her seeing her sister go into the guys room and then flash to current and her chair comes up and the mark appears on her face.

I'm planning on reading the manga, but I want to wait until after the anime ends so the manga won't spoil the surprises. That's what I did for Narutaru. I mean if I read the manga, considering the terrible animation in the anime, I might not have any interest in watching the anime anymore :\

After carrying on his relationship with Chizu, the teacher brings her to a hotel to a room with a bunch of guys in it in which they basically gang rape her, seemingly the teacher has been doing this sort of thing before. The teacher threatens her with videos of him and her having sex being distributed and ruining her. And of coure all the while, the teacher is actually the boyfriend of Chizu's sister. Also, Chizu is pregnant with the teachers kid, which leads to an important plot twist. I think this will have to be kept in the anime. This is pretty much the most vile part of the manga and nothing else is as bad as this.

Why cant Naruto and other shows be paced like this???????

I'm a little late, but Lovely Complex 6 made me laugh crazy hard. Risa's awesome. I wish I could hook up with a girl like that in RL, just a lot shorter.

Apples and oranges. I personally love Major quite a bit, yet I can't really compare the two, as they strive to be different in their presentations of high school baseball. My advice? Watch both and enjoy. :3

Bingo, Major is center around a hot shot Pitcher who only throw on damn, but I still like it though. :p

They cut out the part when the teacher "lends" her to his friends.

Wow, everyone has already seen Lagann 8. This is the first time an anime episode really got to me since Legend of the Galactic Heroes. ;_; Just amazing.
Simon better not be crying for long, though. He needs to be the badass of the show now. :(

yeah, I hope that the next episode of Gurren has
Simon only crying for a bit before realizing that Kamina was a badass and wouldent want Simon to be crying over him, they dont need to drag out the sadness more than 1 episode. I do wonder if they will do a time skip at one point, I hope they go back to adult Simon by the end of the series. I also wonder what will happen to Yoko, it must suck for her to confess her feelings to Kamina and have him respond in a good way only to have him passaway.

Hint: The girl in the preview is an important character for Simon's development.

Episode Preview was her voice, Yukai Fukari who is Nono's voice in DieBuster, saying: "The depressed black in people's eyes... it doesn't seems like a pleasant feeling. That drop on your cheek, is it rain? Next time on TTGL: What do you mean by Human?". If the titles are now her dialogs like Kamina were in the past it's pretty obvious she's going to somehow "fill his void" for Simon. That, and the Japanese anime magazines said so.

Anyway, after watching ep. 8 for a few times, I can conclude this is definitely the best series in a while.
Damn, that scene when it's raining and Kamina's body is still inside Gurren gets me everytime. Oh, and who'll pilot the gurren now? Rossiu? He seems fitting.

I dont think they will use the Gurren anymore, Simon and the Lagann can form up with anyone else, so I think they will do that. Also, Kamina said that the ultimate spin attack would be the last attack of the Gurren-Lagann, and I dont want them having someone else pilot his Ganmen.

Well, that's right, but Rossiu seems like an important character, he has no Ganmen and he's the only other character that has piloted the Gurren other than Kamina (even if it was for a few secs.

Gurren Lagann freaking kicks ass! Just saw till ep 3 and wow I love the animation, the character designs even the music it's all top notch and original.

edit:Question, what's the resolution of the anon subs? For some reason I couldn't playback the 1280x720 of Kamina while the lower ones I did so I want to avoid the same problem.

Sorry for double post but I need help with the Gurren episodes files I've got.
I can't seem to get a decent playback from the 1280x720 resolution files I got from Kamina, I tried ffdshow with Media Player Classic but it doesn't work that great.
I guess this is my PC's fault and my own for getting such a high resolution file, but anyway is there anything else I can do? Any other coders I can try to use or even a way for me to downsize it? Otherwise I'm probably stuck with Nyoromo subs since anon also seems to release in this high resolution files.

Kamina's releases are in H264. To run it, try to download and install Quicktime Alternative since it includes the CoreCodec in its instalation package. CoreCodec is the best codec for H264 available right now, far superior to FFDShow. Unselect FFDShow for H264 and use the CoreCodec for H264 movies and see if you can run the video. If it still stutters, get lower res raws and Anon's .ass subtitle files.

The thing is I can run Kamina's lower res files 704x400, but the problem is that Kamina hasn't released anymore eps and from the file size of anon's releases I'm guessing their 1280x720 as well. Unless I'm mistaken about anon's files.

I dont know if im happy or sad about that, I was hoping the Gurren would die with Kamina and Simon would then join with other Ganmen.

Anon releases are 704x396.

Anon's pretty quick so you can watch them as they come out and use ours for archiving and later viewings. We should be caught up with the weekly episodes pretty soon though.
