1080ti is considered a high requirement in the PC space? That is a bargain bin card at this point.

It will still play everything thrown at it including the kitchen sink for the next few years with no problems. Its probably avg price is around $700, used. The only thing it cant do is ray tracing which is still so early it makes little difference.

Seems more people are forgetting the GTX 1080ti was a god tier card at launch.
Its held its own much longer than it really should have.
Maybe Ada Lovelace will finally send it to greener pastures.

The 1080ti will keep up with an RTX 2080 so unless you consider the RTX 2080 a bargain bin card....thats a very high spec.

the more you give some developers the more they bloat the software.

Interesting headline when a lower end 3060 Ti card is ~50% faster in many games over 2 gen old 1080 Ti.

Isn't Stalker 2 new gen only game? That's low req, if anything.

I don't know what universe you're from, but please let me know so I can go there, buy a dozen 1080 Ti's for $1,000 and then sell them back in this universe for $600-800 each on Ebay.

Apologies for trigger. I meant bargain bin performance.

No it won’t. Performance on current gen games is unsatisfactory at this point.

It's pretty common that recommended is for 1080P at 60fps for pc with mid range settings so the game doesn't look like cheeks.

If you want the sauce get those 30 series cards ready.

Going to have to downsize my installed games. If we keep getting 100+ gig games, I won't be able to have more than a handful installed at a time. This is getting out of hand.

this kinda news reminds me of patching games like morrowind and stuff with eastern european mods that ran like sludge and used superfluous shaders :p

4 cores 4 threads as the minimum?

it is known that 1600 wrecks 7600k in 6 core scaling titles, i don't see how they're seen as equals

if it was 8400/1600 i would understand

most games these days work optimal with 6 core/6 thread or 4 core/8 thread cpus
They are only ball park reccomendations, so PC gamers have an idea of what they will need.
They are almost always a little bloated compared to what you need too.
It doesnt help that the reccomended settings these days are often for unlocked framerates, or higher than 60. There have been a few games lately that have reccomended the 3700X, which i have, but at 60fps the cpu usage is in the 20-40% per core.

What?, a 1080ti is still pretty godly, even for 4k in some games. It also beats the new consoles in some game benchmarks on Youtube so yeah.

I think this is the first time I've seen my 8700k below the recommended requirements.

The question i have is, will it have DLSS Support?
They'd be silly not to include DLSS as much as I trust UE5s TSR I think having DLSS as an option is always a good move.

In what universe is the RTX 3060ti a lower end card?
Just because Nvidia hasnt made xx50s and lower doesnt suddenly mean a powerhouse GPU like the 3060ti isnt still a beast of a card, Nvidia pretty much just decided they didnt want to actually cater to the lower end when they can keep making GTX 1660s and all.
Their lowest tier card still beats the RTX 2060S/RTX2070
With a decent OC (practically impossible) a 3060ti will match a 2080ti.....at all but stock clocks itll walk an RTX 2080 Super.
Thats actually pretty insane to have an xx60 card that keeps up with a last gen range topper.

You're right it is a beast of a card on it's own - it beats both new gen consoles, but I don't know how you can see anything wrong with me typing the obvious, that 3060ti is lower end current gen card.

Because GPU generations dont exist in a vacuum.
When a new gen enters it doesnt suddenly delete every lastgen card.
So the 3060ti is still a high end card due to the cards it actually competes with and how it runs games.
The 3070 and 3060ti and hell the 3070ti might as well have been a single SKU.
3060ti -> 3070 = 5 fps
3070 -> 3070ti = 5 fps

Or rather the 3070 should have just been deleted....the gap between the 70ti and 60ti is atleast ~10fps (lol)

P.S Nvidia still produces Turing chips as their low end offering.
So counting them which you should since Nvidia does, the 3060ti is pretty damn high up.

150GB and people thought UE5 games will be small. I feel bad for XSS owners, but maybe XSS version will be smaller.

The recommend card is borderline useless in and oof itself, come back to me when the 1080/1080ti is the 720p recommend card.

So much this, so fucking tired of current gen games. Give us something of the future.
