Star Fox 64 3D Info Video

I've just seen a TV commercial (Italy) and it was pretty neat. Wonder why NoA cannot produce something similar, this is quite boring.
Is that commercial anywhere on the web yet because NoE is just so much better at selling stuff these days.

If there's one thing I've learned over the years from watching press conferences and such, it's that people who work in game development aren't generally the best at public speaking. Otherwise this just seems like a twist on the standard "info video" format used on the Nintendo Channel.

What baffles me is that the ad NOA is playing on TV basically puts the multiplayer face cam in the spotlight, and without online play that's really a pretty useless feature.

They know this, they can watch the video and see that it's boring or that the dude is bad at presenting in this style. You can edit it and make it look like the guy is Ronald Reagan or Peter Molyneux.

Not yet. It stars kids but shows also footage of the game informing about local multiplayer (which appears to be made the selling point of the game)

Are there more than four stupid small levels in the multiplayer now?
Yes, that's one of the points they've been advertising in the videos. For example, their's a multiplayer map full of stuff like lava (Venom maybe? Don't think it's Solar since there's actual land/structures as well) that definitely wasn't an option in the original game. They also added in numerous powerups, like cloaking, switching positions with an opponent, and homing missiles. Looks pretty good really--just wish it had online so I could actually play it.

^ Haha, perfect.

I cancelled my preorder of this game two days ago... I'll feel guilty if it bombs :(

At least bear lovers will like him.

I'm not a bear lover, but I'd hit that. Only wish he didn't do all that jiggling.

Well yes, I have always wondered how my opponents agony-and-defeat (agony graffite? something something) face looks like

"DOH A BARREH ROOOOOOOOL"

So I can use sain and normal controls or the gyro ones right? If it's gyro only I will pass on very easily.
Yes, just like the gyro stuff in Ocarina of Time 3D, the gyro controls in Star Fox are just an option and you can use the slide pad to move.

It looks like a good game, but I think this guy really had to go pee or something during the video. Stumbling over words, dancing, legs apart. Guy is doing a potty dance.

No online-mp = no buy for me... nintendo is so damn stupid

Starfox 64 multiplayer is like that little roll they give you while the rest of your dinner is being made at a restaurant. I don't remember a single time where anyone booted up Starfox 64 to play multiplayer, it was always something we did after someone Game Over'd out of campaign or as a holdover betweem switching from Goldeneye to WCW/nWo Revenge.

It would have also been completely dead after 2 days.

Make this sell at least half of what OoT 3D did.

I don't want this series to die. do it for me... er, do it for the Star Fox future.

What an awful info video. NOA is like headless chicken. And enough with the fucking barrel rolls jesus.

And SF Command allowed for 6 player local and online play. This only allows for 4 player local. Progress.

People still using the "no online" thing as a reason not to buy a game they probably weren't going to buy anyway, I see.

I'm buying it at 20. I love the original to pieces, and this looks great as well, but I'm in no hurry for getting it.

Starfox multi has been expanded since the N64 release, and it's actually a fun diversion. Now I can fight bots, yay.
