Star Fox Direct happening RIGHT NOW

Nintendo just does whatever the fuck they want, when they want and in all your mouths.

Wasn't Falco supposed to be the cool dude of the team? They sure did some interesting changes to his design lol.

64 is the best in the franchise. Doesn't stop me for wanting a new game instead of another remake.
At this point I'd rather take a guaranteed good game over the possibility of a mid new game (which practically all since 64 have been).

Aw come on that's being very pesimistic, it's like admitting they would never be able to make a better game. I believe they could, if they focused on making cool levels to fly through and forgot about any kind of shitty gimmick.

Hopefully this remake is here to test the waters before a possible sequel.

the second year of the switch 2 is shaping up to be super fun, I'm loving that instead of just sequels to what worked on the first console we are now getting IPs like Donkey Kong and Star Fox having their spotlight

Looks great, releases in a month too. I have a $25 Target gift card I've been sitting on, so it looks like I'll use it for this.

I'm assuming Nintendo is doing shadow direct drops because they're fed up with all the leaks lately. The OoT leak must've really set them off.

I'm pretty divided though.
Star Fox is my favorite franchise, but all those changes are weird.
I honestly can tolerate most of them. But what is really killing me is Katt. Boy, she sounds reaally weird. I'm wondering if they change her personality entirelly because she is the only female presence in 64.

I think I have a red, blue, green, and grey. The analog sticks need some love though.

The analog quality is absolute terrible.
One of worst analogs, that thing doesn't hold 2 weeks at best.

Nintendo is creatively bankrupt as fuck. That remake looks like one of those "Nintendo give this guy a contract" YouTube video.
I agree. And I hate the 64 R-Wing. I prefer the original. But this is kinda exciting for me. I did sold my N64 without buying that ugly POS that the original was and I haven't suffered 28 years of microwave re-heated games and ideas from Nintendo. I find that the SW2 finally has arrived to a point where even Nintendo cheapness produces an acceptable enough picture. So I'm going back to the wallet vampires and this game is likely to be the door to it.

Oh god even freaking cats are gonna be called woke now, like that garfield ass looking picture in the original katt's portrait (or blob speech like all characters) was great art or had any kind of feminine or sensual vibe (stay away from me if you think it did)...

Man, I think they gonna go with the brave stunning archtype just by judging her voice. Please I hope I'm wrong.
Makes me fear for the OOT remake. That game was full of cute chicks and they deserve better than what they've done to Katt here lol.

I mean they haven't managed to make a better SF game since 64, hence my reasoning here lol.

It's an animal. Sad you don't want to fuck it or something?
A bit over defensive or what? Dude, the new design looks awful, like straight out of a junkies den.

But those games sucked mostly for the gimmicks, no? I'd love to see a new entry without any of the shit that got it's way into the later entries, like the ground sections in Assault or the weird controls of Zero.

God I miss the days before all of the "announcement of an announcement" crap started and publishers would just announce stuff out of the blue whenever they felt like it. I can't get all that excited about a tarted up Star Fox 64 remaster, but I hope they keep it up with these surprise Directs and I hope others follow their lead and go back to the old ways.
