Star Fox Direct happening RIGHT NOW

Hmm it's cool and all, I loved lylat wars on the 64 but it takes like 2 hours to 100% no? Who am I kidding I'll eat this slop like pigma..

Yeah they were? Looks like one for one remake this.

Not at all, it could take 15 hours to complete the normal mode, then you unlock HARD mode, that can take another 10 hrs.

No way it would take anyone 15 hours. What do you mean by that, complete?

Getting medals on all stages.

Then you have to do it again on Hard, which will be the part that most people will give up, it is pretty difficult, at least it was on the original game.

Each path to get to Venom takes an hour to complete, you will need to play ant least 4 times to see all stages, there's no way you will get medals on your first try, also you need to find the way to go to the alternate routes.

They will further ruin Gerudo and ruin Malon and the Bombchu girl.
That's 100% going to happen, no way they let Malon keep her honkers.

I am expecting them to somehow turn Ocarina of Time into BotW3.
That would take some effort. They'll probably do something similar as with the 3DS remake: a few adjustments here, fuck up the artstyle there, charge full price and move on.

Sure hope I'm wrong. Best case scenario imo would be to retain the artstyle while expanding the combat (would love to see the special attacks from TP making a return) and maybe making it a bit more challenging. The dungeons are perfect as they are imo so that's all I would change.

Focus of the game is to make perfect runs in each stage, which is why there's a counter for how many enemies you have shot down during the stage. I was just a kid back then but I remember that being quite a challenge and not something you'll manage to do the first or second day with the game.

Hmm maybe you're a bit shit at the game but I'm pretty sure I could do all planets in about 2 hours or am I misremembering that badly? (granted I couldn't do that in the 90s)

Edit :
Sorry you're kinda right, standard playthrough 2 hours and 100% around 10-12 hours.

If we have weapon durability in OoT Remake 2 then I can't even...I'd lose my mind.

I adore the OoT/MM art direction but if they celshade that shit it is gonna suck.

Jesus fuck yeah I guess things can always get worse lmao

Those games I always considered to be dark fantasy and they should look like that. They already "cartoonified" the art direction with the 3DS remake, and I sure hope they don't make the same mistake again.

OoT/MM/TP is my Triforce of 3D Zelda games.

I suppose if they muddy up OoT they could give me a peace offering and throw players the ability to play as Linkle.

Looks great!
I'm a little disappointed it's not an entirely new entry to the series, but an opportunity to play 64 again, with a new lick of paint and extras is very appealing 👍

Looks amazing, but this should be a new game FFS.

I can't tell you how many times I've completed this game, done all the shortcuts.

I can't quite remember it as it's been years but I'll probs get a few hours of fun out of this. I'll wait for a sale perhaps.

I was hoping they put something new in there for the campaign. At least an expansion or something with new levels. Shame

easy mode doesn't count because it doesn't save your high score or anything

think we know the reason why it's only $50 it's short as hell

I'm surprised at the level of graphical upgrade, frankly. Multiplayer, gameshare, co-op and avatars with facial sync are all cool additions. $50 makes this a must for Switch 2 owners.

Umm ... There were new things shown in the direct? I might be wrong but there seemed to be

Yeah! Wheres the 4th remaster for The Last of Us!
Let's get real here.

The PS4 version is a port of the PS3 version. They just called it "remastered" as everybody else did back then for all the PS360 ports to PS4/One. They remade it in 2022 for PS5. That's it.

Star Fox was rebooted, reimagined and remade. And now is getting its second remake.

Nintendo doesn't give a fuck about how many of us boomers and X'ers played through Starfox 64 :messenger_grinning_smiling:

This is clearly the game to introduce Fox & Friends to a new generation of kids. The inclusion of him in the Galaxy movie was some nice, sly pre marketing.

Sad to see that Nintendo are veering down the "hire this man!" route when it comes to the art direction. With great power on Switch 2 came great responsibility. Not quite reaching Panzer Dragoon remake levels of bad, but yeesh.

I think it looks great IMO.....be thankful that Nintendo isn't taking the western dev route and making Fox a female now or some other stupid shit noone wants.
