The non-sex scenes are on youtube and as a Star Trek episode, it's better than all of Voyager and Enterprise combined. lol
Good just making sure, just when you mentioned Data banging Tash I had to mention it, I think that happens at least.

Is it wrong I think of Easy E for some reason?

I guess the replacement discs aren't coming till September? And it sounds like they're fixing more than the audio issues.

I'd have loved to have seen Tasha during the Best of Both Worlds or the Maquis plot.

I also still feel Star Trek: Nemesis would have been much cooler if it had involved Sela and an actual internal Romulan conspiracy rather than Shinzon and the ridiculous looking Remans - ugh. I can't remember if they killed off Sela on the show though, I'm thinking not, so she would have made a good well to go back to (though it's questionable whether Crosby could have carried the weight of main antagonist of film like that - though, IMO, Tom Hardy didn't do anything spectacular in the Shinzon role either).

Yep, would definitely love to see Tasha in the rest of TNG. If it were possible to see 'What if' in tv shows, it's one I'd watch.

IIRC Crosby did request to be in Nemesis (and really the script calls out for it, she could have replaced one of the Roumlan commanders no problem at the very least) but Berman told her it would be "too complicated" or something like that. Wasted opportunity in my mind.

Also agree with Crosby's complaints about not having enough to do seem odd. She got way more development/focus than Worf, Geordi, Crusher & Troi.

Interesting I hadn't heard of that. Guess I have to go through the whole replacement disc thing. A part of me is tempted to just go TOS route and wait till TNG Season 2. I need HD beard.

If you have the S1 Blu, definitely get the replacement discs ordered. If not, then the corrected sets should be out in September, and there will be some sort of visual indicator (dunno what kind) to identify the fixed sets.

Haven't got it yet, but I was waiting to see if I could wait and make sure I could get a fixed set and avoid the hassle of a replacement.

The bright side is the disc replacement is 100% free.
Jesus. lol

They might as well just replace the whole damn set at this point.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. But it's cheaper to ship out just the corrected discs.

Wow! That's a fast turn around on season releases.

Season 1: July 24, 2012
Season 2: December 4, 2012

A little over 4 months. Nice... That's faster than That 70s Show on blu-ray (10 months between S1 and S2) You know, I think there is a really good chance that we could see a really good holiday sale on Amazon for both seasons.

So, I guess something like 2 seasons a year?

2013
S3- Summer
S4- Winter

2014
S5- Summer
S6- Winter

2015
S7- Summer

so fast!

Just please do better QC this time before sending out S2. I would be willing to wait longer to avoid another replacement program.

Yeah that sound mixing thing was bullshit.. definetly get that shit together when the Best of Both Worlds rolls around, sound is ESSENTIAL

Well who was gonna buy S1 of TNG besides the hardest of the core? Gotta entice wit da dealage
as the seasons progress, you know dat higher price gonna stick

I know Best Buy even had a 20 dollar discount on the regular price. I think the reg price was 80.

Just checked. Original MSRP was listed as $129.99 when announced.

Best Buy handled the launch of season 1 with a 59.99 initial offering then shot it back upto like 80

Hold on a sec... there's disc recalls on the s1 blu-ray set? The first run was gimped or something? I haven't sat through all the discs yet since I got them on release day back in July. I doubt they'd be able to help me out since I took them back with me to Japan. Bummer.

does Amazon sell the fixed set now? nothing on their site to indicate that. i read the fixed sets have the Starfleet symbol on the spine.

This is also of interest to me since I'm sure my brother would like these and I don't want to get him a botched gift.

There are some episodes where the sound mix is really really off and can be hard to hear, almost worse than mono... just really bad... a prime example of this is on the episode Haven.

Aww crap. Now I gotta go home and play my discs to confirm this. I may just send my set back to a friend to handle all the swapping stuff if I have to. I am surprised something so big got missed in the final pressing.

What's even more sad is that I haven't marathoned my set yet. I've only seen a few episodes here and there on my days off.

How come my first disc details what will be available on the second season blu rays?
Was that there on the ones available at initial release?

I think in their eyes, there isn't enough overall fan demand for those post TNG series to make the restoration process worth it

It's about what is considered that will reach the most people they will invest in

TNG is by far the most popular next to TOS, the spin offs are considered somewhat nichey, even if they have strengths over the TNG in some ways

DS9 is already a divisive series... and VOY even more so. I have no idea how much it costs to remaster all the stock and redo the CGI, but I have to imagine that it requires substantial investment.

Bumpity bump

Season 2 on Blu-ray is out today

Got my copy

Got the tingles from the preview for Season 3 Blu-ray...that's when the show REALLY started getting good

For now it's Pulaskiville :/

Disappointed to hear about the Season 2 issues. I guess if we have to have a substandard release it should be for the shittiest season.

BTW, some of the CBS folks have stated several times that if there's enough demand for it, DS9 could receive the same treatment on BR as TNG.
