I swear if this season dont end with Star x Marco......
mjcry1.png

If the summary of the last episode of the season is anything to go by...
this season is going to end with their relationship in a very turbulent place...Albeit most likely just temporarily.

Still find it hilarious towards the end of the episode when they only needed $650 more Marco stepped up and payed the rest.

Seems like when there is a specific dollar amount needed for anything Marco always has that much on him.

Never stop being a baller Marco.

Lol I pointed that out a while back. Always makes me laugh.

Heckapoo is dope as fuck, we need more of her.

I hope they keep that running gag of him having with him specifically 650 at every time.

Edit: To clarify: it's the same amount he had in the Goblin Dog episode.

Crystal Clear didn't resolve much, but it presumably set up some stuff for later.

... also that one thing. THAT ONE THING, HOLY SHIT.
EDIT: oh and according to the credits The Hard Way is going to be very interesting. Well, more so.

People's eyes are too sharp lol I didnt even see it the first time I watched the episode

???

i watched the episode this morning, are you two talking about the green portal?

Take a closer look at the beings that have been encased in crystal. You might recognize one of them. Specifically the highest crystals.
Dang it, now I need to watch the episode again.

EDIT:
you're referring to the witch in the highest crystal? Doesn't look like anyone to me, I thought she was Eclipsa at first but her skin isn't white enough and she lacks the symbol cheeks.

But didn't he get that money back due to the Goblin not needing it.

I'm trying to figure if this gag is due to him having it on his person due to not using it or does he replenishes the amount to 650 each time.

Someone said this earlier, but this season to be reinforcing a major theme since the beginning: nothing lasts forever and you inevitably have to face that fact.

huh in a paused video frame i saw you can see dark colorations where her symbols would be

Also the mention of his crystals not being as solid as they use to be can also be seen as a sign that something might be going down soon.

Might be a red herring but we'll see

I choose to believe the later cause it's funnier.

Same but its been shown a few times that he seemingly gets the money back due to them having no use

EDIT: yep, anyone who has access to the Xfinity App can view The Hard Way early
EDIT: ah yes now we're getting somewhere. Hello, plot.

Kinda like Toffee and his broken finger, no?

Just watched "The Hard Way"

Turns out Ludo has some weird daddy issues

Also, where they in some monster sanctuary? What are they planning to do there?

One of the storyboarders for "The Hard Way" uploaded a promo image for the ep:

Cassie Zwart

Looks like a Ren & Stimpy title card from way back.

Kinda like Toffee and his broken finger, no?

Actually, now that I'm awake and looking at it again you can sorta see her real arm folded against her chest. What looks like an outstretched arm is really just the impression left in the crystal or perhaps her sleeve ala Star's socks.

Which means... she can move around in there? I don't know.

Yeah it does look like her arm is to her chest and the "broken off" arm is merely an impression like the one Star left in her crystal.
Also Rhombulus lamented the fact that his crystals weren't as solid as they used to be, so Eclipsa could be moving around in there due to the magical-fritz mucking with his powers.
Damn man, Eclipsa's coming and probably sooner than expected. I thought we'd most likely see her in flashbacks, or if we were lucky she'd be resurrected sometime down the line.
I'm definitely excited.

Btw I really like Rhombulus, Lek Mek (?), and the little relationship they've got going on.
Also this episode reminded me of how delightfully girly Star is despite being a little ball of manic fury, I love it.

^Hahahaha!

Anyways, considering "The Hard Way" even after managing to survive in the wild near the beginning of the season and gain an army of rats,
Toffee pretty much continues to play Ludo like a damn fiddle this whole time. Yeah I figured the moment Ludo was "talking with the wand" was the moment I figured "Yup it's Toffee!" But great to see him return.

As with the previous episodes, "Mathmagic" was simply trippy. All those different versions of Star, plus that gag where she does a ballerina dance towards the chalkboard!

The Bounce Lounge: That episode ended in a bittersweet note. Gotta love when Marco conveniently carries money with him.

Crystal Clear: It's great to know more about Rhombulus, but dear lord!
That Queen Eclipsa cameo!

Overall, I so far consider season 2 to be better than season 1 in terms of story.

They are really saving the best episodes for the end of the week. "The Hard Way" was the best yet of this second half. I really enjoyed seeing Ludo getting the spotlight again. Running with Scissors was also amazing. Can't wait to see what happens in the Just Friends episode.

There was plenty of speculation before, but we finally get confirmation about
Toffee
. This season finale is going to be awesome.

I think i stopped watching this show when one of the bad guys started eating cats and squirrels, it seemed really mean spirited. Someone tell me why I should pick this up again.

"Heinous" had so much potential that went off the window in favor of too long a setup and too little a payoff. Unlikely to rewatch it anytime soon...

Pretty good episode.
Holy shit! They actually explained where Marco gets all his money lol

...The spoiler part however gave me a GREAT laugh.

But hey, promo for Just Friends. Marco and Star's outfits should look familiar to Disney aficionados.

AAAND promo for the season finale. HYPE

Way too soon for those promos. Oh well, Heinous was pretty good but I really wanted to know what's the deal
with her cheek marks
! Guess it'll have to wait until season 3. :(

EDIT: another commercial, this time only 15 seconds but has some new stuff from the finale:

"We need to talk."

Only potato quality for now, better version should come later.

Yea it seems some shit is gonna go down from all angles
Toffee calls out to Moon as it seems Ludo is going to the magical council Headquarters. I wonder if that means they will go to the containment area.

Great series.

Just finished getting up to date with it, my partner and her friends walked in on me watching it and thought I was wierd. They watch one episode before heading out and were stunned that I was made by disney.

Considering that Star Vs deals with a multiverse containing infinite possibilities I'm bit surprised that
Miss Heinous simply thinks Marco is just a teenage girl. haha
I mean, there is no way that all of those places have the same gender constructs as Mewni and Earth; there has to be at least some boy princesses going St.Os.
That's honestly why I thought the idea of a "Princess Marco" wasn't odd or out of place to her.
:P
Anyways, fun episode; it wasn't exactly what I wanted or expected, but it was enjoyable.
The relationship between Heinous and Rasticore seems like one of a mother and a child to me. She did say he was "half-lizard", and we know that "monster love" is a thing in the Butterfly family. Hmmmm...

Personally loved that absolutely nobody corrected her in the entire episode, not Marco, Not Star, not Mr. and Mrs. Diaz.

Guess that one theory is back on the table if you take that in consideration.

Also, those
Princess Marco action figures
are really tempting me to break my rule about using avatars only drawn by myself.

Mallory Archer's facial expressions were solid gold this entire episode.

It's rapidly becoming clear that it isn't just star.

Mewmans are just violent psychotic assholes.

Did the Thanksgiving "Mewndependence day" episode not clue you in already? :3

Star even said she looked pretty

the writers knew what they were doing

And the family reunion episode. Made it seem like her mom was above it all but even she might be bloodthirsty.

It's kind of funny Mewni is just a massive shithole with stupid huge castles in the center.

The kind of thing a Disney movie would pull a moral out of.
