Looks AMAZING. But why is everybody jacking Uncharted so hard. ND is going to have a tough time making Uncharted 4 at this rate.

Looking at the screenshots in the OP and the generally high level of "blur" it has, I'm wondering if the developers are supporters of the whole film vs. games argument: http://timothylottes.blogspot.ca/2012/01/games-vs-film.html (great examples in the comments, too).

I dunno. The game looks beautiful but I really don't see what the hype is all about. I've seen games this gen that look just as good if not better then this. I just feel the hype train, especially when it comes to the graphics, is a bit on overdrive. I guess we'll see when it's released. If there's anything to be in awe about, it's the fact it will receive an M-rating.

Not even BF3/TW2 look as good as 1313. Granted they're nothing alike, and it's kind of apples to oranges, but they're as good as it gets right now.

I saw this at E3. It's still very very early, I mean we're talking pre-alpha here. Also actual gameplay demo portion lasted only a few minutes.
Anyway, everything they showed was in real time and I've never seen anything like it in regards to graphics and physics. There was no UI to speak of except for a little framerate counter in the bottom right-hand corner (ran in a modern PC--declared top of the line hardware--and ran mostly at a solid 30FPS with a few pauses here and there). There was no dialog trees/options when conversation took place, so it's tough to know what was scripted and what would be optional for the player. They did state this was the first mature LucasArts game game ever made, and that there would be no Jedi and no force powers--I like it!! My personal opinion is this is a next-gen console title and suspect we probably won't see it until 2014.
Other notes:
-I was able to confirm this was not Clint Hockings games.
-The environments were grimy, chunky and dirty with rubber tubes and piping lining the walls, crawling behind paneling. Much like the aesthetic we saw with the original trilogy (Episodes 4, 5 and 6), and not the ultra-clean sharpen ones from the new movies (episodes 1, 2 and 3).
-There was a point in the demo where an explosion blew a door open and watching the way objects reacted to it was stunning because it was remarkably realistic, and almost eerie.It just seemed so much more advanced than Havok.
-The demo I used a "test character" and not the real protagonist.
-All of Lucas Inc is somehow involved in the development of this game including Lucasfilm, ILM, Lucasfilm Animation, Skywalker Sound, etc.
-Voice acting was top notch and appeared to be
-All animations, including facial, are done via mocap> I'd say the quality was perhaps slightly better than what we see in the Uncharted series. It was remarkable.
Can't wait to see more!

There's not a single game out there that looks like this AT ALL. Maybe the developers build, but public builds not even close.
And if there is, please name it since the graphic's crown is still owned by several titles on PC and not even those have all those things this game showed. There are still some games on consoles that looks outstanding but overall (technically) not on par with what PC games are showing.
PC Titles (no particular order):
- Project C.A.R.S.
- The Witcher 2
- Battlefield 3
- Crysis 2
- Crysis
- Metro
Console Games (no particular order either):
- Uncharted 3
- God of War 3
- Halo Reach
- Killzone 2/3
- Gears of War 3
And none of them looks close to what Star Wars 1313 or Watch Dogs are pulling!

I just don't see it. Perhaps my tune would change if I saw the game in real time as opposed to a YouTube video. Hell, it looks very impressive, just not "the best" like everyone is touting it to be. Jumping on to flaming ship as it's descending down the tunnel is nothing short of awesome, guaranteed, but not the most impressive thing I've seen in a game.
I could be wrong. Would love to see this game when it's completed on an HD screen so I can make a final opinion.

I think Watch Dogs looks impressive, but I don't think it is that much of a generation leap personally.

No platforms are announced, but it was made for PC.
Doesn't look anywhere near this even on max settings.

I'll just name some off.
Crysis series, Uncharteds, Dead Spaces, Gears of War II and III and God of War III to name some off the top of my head. I think these games are at the very least comparable to SW1313.

It looks miles better than MP3 on PC. First off you're comparing an extremely cramped corridor shooter to a pure open world game.

I hope not. As much as people clamor for Jedis and what not, Jedis don't make up the entirety of what Star Wars is about.
Theres so much more out there they could be exploring and making stories for, yet people keep wanting Jedis.

Pretty sure the voice is Hayden Christensen, other wise know as Anakin Skywalker.
I love Max Payne 3, I think it's impressive especially with its animation, but...I can't see that. This is just too pretty.
They've said no Jedi or lightsabers in the game. All bounty hunters/underworld and the like. Essentially, think more of what the proposed TV series was supposed to be about.

This looks very cool, I've always wanted an Star Wars game that didn't have Jedi besides Dark Forces. I've loved SW since I was a kid and even then what I loved about it was the story, the characters, the universe and the technology. The lightsabers and the force were just kind of like some cinnamon sprinkled on an already delicious dessert. Great in small amounts but too much is like eating spoonfuls of it directly from the jar. That's just one of the plethora of things I hate about the prequels, lightsaber/force overload. The force was barely in the original trilogy and they were much better for it.
My dream has always been a game or TV series about Han Solo and Chewbacca pre-Ep4, just following their smugger antics. (Which I basically got with Firefly, but we know how that turned out). Uncharted in Space sounds fantastic, but I have some reservations about what's been revealed about 1313 so far... I hope the whole game isn't stuck in Coruscant, I want some space action too. I also hope they keep the tone more in line with the spirit of the original trilogy/Uncharted/Firefly and don't grimdark it up too much.
