Meh,
I expect to be excited by this game when it's properly revealed, but only advertising multiplayer and without detailing gameplay improvements or showing a proper campaign mode leaves me feeling flat.
I want to see this game bring me Battlefield level of gameplay depth. So much potential here.

Thank god for the fucking prequels. Was so sick of Battlefront and its setting after 10 hours or so. There's just not enough in the OT for a game like this (shown by the godawful hero selection and the brand new planets they had to make up to fill space).
I'm the teensiest bit worried because we only see Maul. So it's possible that it just has heroes from all eras in an Assault mode like Mos Eisley. But if all goes well I'll get to play as Clones and Droids. Pls DICE.

That said, there could totally be some sort of merch leak that shows off a character or droid design.

Yep. It just became canon after being featured in the new Thrawn book too. I came here after seeing a post on the r/XWingTMG subreddit about an Imperial Raider being featured in the ad. Such a great-looking ship, I really need to buy a few more since they can be had for cheap after people have opened the expansions and stripped the good cards out. I want a fleet of them on my table.
So awesome to see the Raider Class Corvette get more recognition! These were created by Fantasy Flight Games for the X-Wing Miniatures game!

Honestly extremely surprised that prequel content (in any capacity) is in this game. We only saw heroes/villians and CIS/Republic ships in the background of that final splash screen, but hopefully that means we get a fully playable era with battles and units. Would be a shame if it was only heroes! . Clone Wars is just absolute sex for videogames. So many locations and technologies!

We actually knew the game would have multiple eras long ago (logically multiple eras included prequesl). As for Disney rejecting... Nope, Disney is not doing shit. It is all Lucasfilm.
Anyway, Lucasfilm is not actually rejecting the prequel era. Current focus is not there certainly but they have featured prequel stuff (eg Obi and Anakin comic between EP1 and 2).
What abilities would he even have?

Leia's "trooper bane" from SWBF1 would fit for one thing. Then some kind of aura power. Maybe unique "charge" type power.

One hit KO from melee attacks at any range, then every time you die the game makes you wait longer to respawn.
Also when you get near stormtroopers they yell traitor!

Just noticed the possible gameplay implications of having 3 different eras with their own factions and technologies; it possibly means that preset classes are back with less customization to your weapons loadout. I think that would be overall better for fun and game balance.
Also, perhaps the phrase "militant rejection" was not the best to say in my last post. I was mistaken. But it does seem like the prequel era has been dormant since Disney took over. Maybe that would have been a better term.
