If you hate this main character, then most games must have main characters that annoy you. I think he looks better in the new game. I thought everybody loved the first game. I was late to the party and wound up enjoying it. It was a nice change of pace to play a game that did not drag on for over 20 hours. It was a solid first game and leaves a lot of room for improvements for a sequel.
