Star Wars: The Last Jedi Official Teaser

Kylo Ren is basically the character Anakin should be. Broken and rage filled.

And very insecure with dreams of greatness that he can't reach in his current state and can't channel his emotions into power like Anakin did. Hopefully Ren actually develops into interesting villain in Ep. 8.

That trailer felt like collection of disconnected Star Wars visual moments and 1-3 theme hints. For (hardcore) fan this must been great, but for someone like me who isn't invested in SW didn't do much :/

How about instead of getting mad that the people correctly pointing out that TFA is a medicore remake of ANH, you take it out on JJ Abrams? Y'know the guy that already made a mediocre ANH remake with Star Trek 09?

This really doesn't look anything like Empire though. Other than the whole "2nd part is the darkest" which everyone does in storytelling.

If it's based on emotions, isn't that that what makes it selfish? Emotions are inward-facing - they're focused on you and how you feel.

On the flip side, its something that all living creatures(in the Star Wars universe) have. So its just as selfish for Jedi to take children and train them to be emotionless soldiers in order for what they saw as the proper way to use the force.

So whilst you can argue there is selfishness in wielding the force under an emotional state, the jedi were just as selfish to neuter a persons emotional state in the process of making them a warrior of the force.

In essence both sides.

Do we know what Space Language this is on Finn's coma pod?

I took his mask as a representation of the facade he put up in TFA. That facade is dead.. No turning back now. The moment he kills Han is the moment he solidified his path. The moment he removed his mask and left it behind.

No more pretending. Though he may not like what he's become.

Alright that was a good trailer ... oddly warm back in the day sittin on the floor feelings seeing Luke on screen talking and real. More than i expected. Cool :)

But! ... that lightsaber training looks like she is flailing around cause a fly just got up in her shit and she's freaking out :-D .. good shit.

Felt a bit light on substance, but if they're calling it a teaser that's fair enough.

Enjoying the fan theories about rethinking the Force and how it is used, but I dunno if they're going to roll that deep on spiritual philosophy in a blockbuster movie.

That book being the Journal of the Whills would be PRETTY cool

Be lying if i said that sort of thing didnt worry me a little, I trust Rain though, but its a little, on the nose to have a Journal thats just going to tell you about the Force, the Light side and the Dark.

Was that really luke that said that its time for the Jedi to end?

Holy shit.....instead of bringing balance......he believes that completely ridding one side along with ridding the other and thus the only way to end it, is no jedi or sith all together.

I think it's time to start putting "TFA is a remake" people on my ignore list, such a fucking stupid and tired argument

Like, you realize that shit doesn't make you seem smart, right?

I'm speechless. I'm mesmerized.

...and I have no idea why people are complaining about the teaser trailer. This movie is about what you see in the freaking poster.

Deal with it.

Loved the trailer.

I'm glad Luke is seeking to end the Jedi and the Sith. Makes sense after what happened to his father and his Jedi academy.

HYYYPPEEE!!!

My first proper IMAX experience was with The Force Awakens and my second one will be with The Last Jedi! :)

CAN'T WAIT!*

Hoping certain rulers won't make it so the world goes to crap before this trilogy ends >.>

Me, too. Worried for his helmet, though. It's clearly seen better days in this teaser.

I like that helmet.

I liked it as well, but it served its purpose.

It also has me thinking we're going to see some parallels the Rey/Kylo Ren evolution. The only reason he had the helmet was because he was a Vader try-hard. The smashed helmet combined with that shot of him with the saber extended without a helmet has me thinking he's shedding any echoes of the Sith, stepping into his own, in the same way Rey is turning away from the Jedi and going her own way. This is the movie where the Sith/Jedi dichotomy is fully discarded.

There was just no, gigantic moment really, Lukes line was intriguing but it wasnt an intriguing visual, something you can replay multiple times, it was quite modest really.

I like the trailer btw but I can certainly see how it lacked elements that could be iconic.

Finn is not waking up this movie. He's going to maybe open his eyes in Episode 9 and be like, "Hey, what did I miss? When did you get a robot arm, Rey? Chewie got a medal?! Where's Leia?" (Ow. That last line hurt to write.)

Anyway, trailer was pretty good. Not as epic as the Force Awakens official trailer, but what would be, really? I can't wait for this. Looks amazing.

I'm sorry. You fooled me once with episode 7. You fooled me again with Rogue One. I won't be fooled again.

It's gonna be another focus-tested safe CG borefest with boring characters.

'The last jedi'? As if anything in the Star Wars universe will ever change or go anywhere. It's the same story on loop.

Good trailer though, but I just can't be fooled again.

That's some good stuff. Do we even know if Snoke is a Sith, he could be something else.

The idea of having force users who can both go into the Dark side and the light side is super interesting.

it makes less of a cult, and more a religion with people slightly more in tuned with it.

I mean.. If anything it just back ups the idea that rey will be tempted heavily.

No more sith, no more jedi. Instead I guess they're gonna replace those two terms with some new fancy names or something. Meeeeeeeeeh.

What was said in the panel completely contradicts your theory.

Also - horrible leia joke. Not funny.
