When PS only hosts one major showcase event per year it's not unreasonable for people to be upset when that gets postponed or possibly cancelled.

No one gives a fuck about those games.

Show us big games only or nothing. But I must say, they're particularly adept at the latter. Nothing is the only thing Sony's first party studios are good at.

Anyway, I still we'll get a proper PS Showcase at some point, they've had state of plays within a couple of days of each other before so why not a showcase and a state of play.

Basically this State of Play will look like Nintendo's Direct but without any 1st party content. That's what i'm expecting at this point.

A showcase might follow later this year. Maybe even a PS Experience in November or December? Sony renewed their trademark last year i think so they haven't given up on it.

It wasn't that bad IMO. I'm excited for Fire Emblem, I'm glad they are making a new Pikmin, good Mario Party's, and Zelda.

Well Nintendo has put off the table many small sized Japanese games like Octopath Travelers 2, Fatal Frame, Crisis Core so it's unlikely those will fill slots in the PS Showcase.
Looking forward to see what they have in store, people should expect something similar to the Nintendo Direct, maybe with a short GOW trailer in place of the short Zelda trailer.
