Your opinion sucks when you're using extremely high priced luxury cars and concepts cars that couldn't even make it production to prove your point.

You should read the rest of the thread where people show real wagons that they love, instead of crying pissy tears because your taste in vehicles is so bad it boils from your ducts and rolls down the folds of fat until it once again rejoins your shrunken manhood.

Heard of something called gas mileage ?

Yes. And these wagons use less gas than the two cars you'd need to move a couch across town.

LOL.. Looks like something McFly would drive the family around in.
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Edit: also most of the wagons look way fucking better than the new Camaro.

That Firebird wagon in the OP just made my weekend omg. It's utilitarianism crossed with the impracticality of a '70s muscle car. So perfect for me.

Awesome wagon, especially dropped with some nice rims and paint job. Love the sound of those V8s.

This was my first car right here--the Chevy Celebrity. The roof upholstery came unstuck, so we stuck it back on with straight pins. The AC had crapped out, and we rode with the windows down. The roof would billow and flutter; it was a goddamn magical vehicle.

Most of the thread is concept/audi/bmw. Only the past couple of posts have started to talk about normal station wagons and they're still ugly as hell.

Tears of pee-pee. Bubbling up from your no-no place.

My dad used to have a station wagon where when you sit in the very back you are facing the opposite direction. (toward the back window.) It was pretty neat.

That's pretty common for station wagons. At least ones with 3 rows.

Even modern Mercedes do this. Really convenient for parents actually.

People enjoy a thing you do not. And they enjoy it for subjective reasons you can argue and objective ones you can't.

Also, that Focus wagon above is sweet.

My "win the lottery" car is an Audi s6 wagon with all the brightwork removed, black wheels, VIP trim.

First kid is on the way, so I'm using that as an excuse to find a 2002 Impreza WRX Wagon :D

P.S. About the Dodge Magnum, drove one from Winnipeg to Edmonton in 11 hours. Nice and fast, and it wasn't even a Hemi. (The drive from Winnipeg to Edmonton usually takes 16-18 hours)

ok fine. name two cars that have been 100% US productions that aren't slow and clunky (two because it's entirely possible i missed one)

Their like Soccer mum 4 wheel drives. No one wants them.

And if you can't sleep in a normal car you must be either really tall or fat as shit.

First reply wins the thread :lol

that focus estate seems really odd to me. In the UK, the focus is a hatchback as standard. You can get saloon(sedan) versions but they are rare. so I guess this is an estate conversion of the saloon base?

Just seems odd - is the standard focus in the US a sedan?

Ford Europe sells hatchback, sedan and estate versions of the Focus. Personally I think the estate looks the best, it's a really well proportionated small SW.

I completely agree. I love the look of the newer Volvos, especially the mean looking Cross Country and the smaller sportier C30 wagon/coupe/hatchback.

Oh my God what I would do for a P1800 ES Wagon.... Sure the standard P1800 coupe is the hottest car ever made but the wagon is still fucking sexy and the new C30 is basically an updated P1800 ES.

The majority of wagons are an eye sore. Theres a few muscle cars and street machines I liked as wagons but of the modern day cars Audi are the only company I can think of that really know how to make a nice looking wagon, real animal performance vehicles too. Subaru's WRX wagons aren't half bad either, I actually like them more than the sedan (but not as much as the Coupe).

FUCK YES!

I found a nice rolling shell a few years back... Still kicking myself at not picking it up. Would have made the ultimate project/summer cruiser.

It is more about American car makers failing extra hard at designing good looking estates.

French to the rescue! The C5 Break looks really aggressive IRL:

Yeah those cars are nice, but I do think they stole too much from the newer generation German cars (audi, mercedes C break). I didn't know breaks weren't that common in the US as they are here. I guess they make up for it by driving in (stupid) pickups? By stupid I mean 1) dangerous 2) less seating space 3) a lot more fuel usage

Yeah they are. I first saw one when I lived in Berkeley a few years back, and I was like, "WHAAAAAT?" and immediately called my dad. "OMG DID YOU KNOW VOLVO MADE A SPORTS COUPE WTF YOU NEVER TOLD ME!?!" It was pristine, shiny white paint with perfect chrome, ohhhh man.

That's a hearse. Could be part of why people aren't too keen on station wagons in general. Most folks don't want to be associated with driving a hearse.
