I enjoyed the first game. Getting S ranking in all levels can be pretty hard.
There's also the fact Microsoft's just historically been a pain in the ass, and I think the audience for these games outright evaporated from the service in the end. They may have eased up, certainly the indie program for XB1 is several positive steps in the right direction, but you hear about the horror stories to get on 360 and it's perfectly rational to go "fuck this shit I don't care how many people are playing on that."
No, because they have established themselves as the de facto indie platforms (after PC, of course).I wonder if we'd had the same comments if the game was PS4 or Vita exclusive.
"Wii U doesn't have enough games!"This seems pretty dumb. An indie game like that would sell much better on Steam.
"Nintendo has sold a few million Wii Us too, so the audience is there. We want to see what the market is like. We want to test it."
Unless you're into list wars the bone stays exactly the same no matter how many platforms this gets released on.O h please, spare me that story. Gamers on the other systems have tonnes of other stuff to pick from. At this point this exclusivity is like throwing a bone to Wiiu only owners.
Why indie exlusivity in particular? That said, I'm not a fan of indie exclusivity regardless of which platforms are the beneficiaries. Spread the love.
Well, I was looking at it from the perspective of the indie developer. Ideally, the Wii U should have more games, but adding this game seems like a drop in the bucket."Wii U doesn't have enough games!"
"What, a new Wii U game?!? This should be on other consoles instead, because this won't sell on Wii U!"
Anyway, looks pretty nice.

"There isn't much competition on Nintendo's store, so we thought that commercially it's a really good opportunity for us," he told CVG in a newly published interview.
As testament to the concept that console install bases are not king, Curve's design director Jonathan Biddle revealed that the studio's games sales are stronger on Vita than on PS3.
"I think Vita has been a surprise success for us," he said.
"If you compare it to the PS3, for example, you'd expect the home console would be selling the most. Vita's doing way better for us though. That's not proportionally, that's in terms of unit sales."
It really needs multiplayer though. Does the Wii U have a competitive infrastructure for that? If I got a Wii U, fellow GAF-ers would be my only pool of possible friends on the system, as no one I know owns one. I have more friends with Vitas than Wii Us.I can see plenty of uses for the second screen in this game. Played the first one on Vita, it was pretty clever at times. Looking forward to this.
A drop in the bucket in the sense that it won't do much to help the Wii U.Tell us more about the upcoming WiiU eShop titles ?

When I put such a suggestion to the duo, the lack of flat-out denial is telling. "We're just talking about Wii U today," Biddle says with a smirk, before Perkins adds, "We'll see how it goes."
Developers so far have been pretty happy with their sales on eShop. It's not that bizarre.
I'm not a huge fan of exclusivity full-stop, but I can understand the argument that AAA exclusives can produce 'more', when they're made specifically for a given piece of hardware. That's not the case with (most) indies though, they tend to be built in a manner that means they can be ported all over the shop without losing anything in the process. Why indie exlusivity in particular?
And that's a wrap.
Thank god for that, now the thinly veiled port begging can stop.
I'd say the opposite is true, that's pretty much gaming lingo for "yeah, we're not really exclusive but we can't say anything right now".
The idea of an indie game being fully exclusive to any closed platform is a bit strange to me.I wonder if we'd had the same comments if the game was PS4 or Vita exclusive.
Gamers are weird.
"Wii U needs exclusives!"
*Wii U gets an exclusive*
"This is dumb, why would anyone make a Wii U exclusive?"
I just don't get it.
"The Wii U is stealing our games" is ringing true more and more. Pretty disappointing actually. If this was on PS4 exclusively, then it is fine.
That's what I meant. It's not exclusive (beyond an initial launch time frame) so people can safely assume that the game isn't going to stay on a platform they'd rather wish out of existence.
I can't speak for everyone, but acknowledging that something would make a platform viable doesn't necessarily mean I think it would be the best thing for the developers or myself as a consumer.Gamers are weird."Wii U needs exclusives!"

w... what? Which? Who?
Oh okay. Sorry, misunderstood.
I might be going out on a limb here but if this was exclusive to the PS4, would this thread look similar? I could be wrong.
No but I'm not sure what you're suggesting. PS4 indies arent really "exclusive", almost no indies are. This is the Curve guys noticing that small loyal platforms like Vita and Wii U are a good fit for them to launch on.
Sniff Sniff... smells like Bayonetta 2 in here.
Nah just Nintendo persecution complex.
