I've been looking into ways to stream my PC games to a handheld device as I'd like to quickly pick up and play through short sessions anywhere in my house.
As I understand the general opinion seems to be that the following setup should be ideal:

At present, what experiences have people had with various combination of devices and applications? Is 802.11ac significantly better than 802.11n across obstructions and large distances? Do Bluetooth connected controllers introduce noticeable input delays? Which combination strikes the right balance between performance and price?

An Nvidia GameStream compatible PC to be able to use the Moonlight streaming application
An iOS/Andorid tablet or phone which supports 802.11ac and has H.265 hardware decoding.
A Bluetooth controller with a clip or some means to attach to a phone/tablet
