Street Fighter 4 is now for...

In other news, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata recieved an email from Capcom's Keiji Inufane with only this video as the email's content.

Sources say that Mr. Iwata did not laugh.

So knew before I even clicked on the thread.

Pretty much every time "X game is coming to...." comes up, you KNOW it's iPhone.

This will sell well, but play like a fart that dog shit does.

That's what he does irl ;)

Would it have really cost them anything significant to bring a PSP and Wii version to the table?

There is only a few reasons I can see for doing this and the two aren't exactly welcome.

I'm ipod-ignorant. Do you need an iphone or will this and other apps/games work on an ipod touch as well.

Seems like a fun novelty.

i believe ono san once said that he wants to port SF IV over to every platform ever possible.. even the gameboy... i guess he is going to do that in the future.. :D :D

i assume those buttons are punch, kick, saving (i.e. focus), and special -- it probably plays something like eo mode in the cvs2 ports. would totally buy a psp version using these assets.

knew about this months ago but couldnt say mum'... and the other platform I can tell you makes a ton more sense compared to this.

Also, did everyone already forget Alpha 1 was being ported as well?

Alpha 1 was ported to J-cell phones years ago. What's your point?

I bet the Alpha 1 port will be the cell phone version. :lol

:/

Please port (S)SF4 to PSP, Capcom.

...wait....so the iPhone gets SFIV, but the Wii doesn't?

Oh well, we'll always have Tatsunoko....*sigh*

its not an either/or scenario. This thing is probably being coded by 2 guys in a basement being paid in boxes of Top Ramen and will be sold for like $10. Its a different sort of undertaking then making a full out Wii retail release game (at least if you want to do it right)

yes, it will work on the iPod Touch as well, probably even better than on iPhone and iPhone 3G, as the iPod Touch has a processor more akin to the 3GS.

I don't see the need for a Wii version.

Capcom could potentially make some more cash off of SF4 if they were to port it. That's why. A scaled-down version with online play on par with TvC would be pretty good for Wii owners.

Someone on SA is saying that they actually saw this running well on an iPhone behind closed doors at TGS last year, but it wasn't shown to the public and nobody played it.

just for everyone who missed it, Gameloft is porting all the following to iphone at some point this year for Capcom:

* Resident Evil ®
* Uprising
* Street Fighter ® Alpha
* Super Puzzle Fighter™ II Turbo
* Lost Planet™ 2
* Dead Rising™ 2
* Where’s Wally 2

is this something viable to play on the iPhone? I've never played the game before, but it looks interesting...

Shit's getting worse by the minute.

I wish these were A3 and ST.

Potentially.

Or they could lose money on the project since it probably wouldn't sell for shit. People ask for games like these on the Wii, but they don't actually buy them.

Hmm? Another unannounced version? Really not sure which would be more obvious though, Wii or PSP. PSP has more fighters, but none of them really sell well in the US anymore.

Ok that is bizzare.

Not sure why so many people are all "lol capcom" over this. Sure, nobody's gonna buy this port and intend to play it that seriously, but if I had an iPhone I'd totally throw down for it. I think it's kinda cool.

And the differences between releasing a downloadable title for the iPhone and a retail disc are very large.

Someone needs to release a USB to dock connector adaptor so I can hook up my TE stick. Then we're in business. :lol

Pointless without a pad accessory. Apple needs to consider that for their next phone. By default, even if the controls were somehow flawless (which they won't be, of course), your fingers are still covering ~30% of the screen! We need some quality RPGs on these smart phones. Port Breath of Fire or something. Far more practical,
far less economically sensible
.

This is some bullshit.

Hey guys do you think the iPhone can handle Resident Evil 5's title screen?

As an avid iPhone supporter and gamer...I can't help but think that this will control terribly.

Almost every game that puts on screen controls feels awful.
