It's unlikely it would go anywhere else than Gameworks, even then I don't know how well they can maintain it since the machines are usually garbage. Taiko machines with broken and missing sticks, VF5 machine that randomly goes black and other machines where buttons don't seem to work.

I honestly could've seen it ending up at the Sunset Bowl in Ballard, before it was closed down. :-(

wtf Alabama I never even heard of that state before until I met a dood in college who said he was from there...

he was rushing for a fraternity and they make u do all this stupid shyt like carry a bag with you everywhere u go.

dood would be trying to get into the eating commons and the gate keeper is like "no u cant bring that bag in with you" and then fun arguments and scuffles would ensue.

where are the cabs now? Im in north Florida, might be willing to drive cross state to play this.

Montgomery, supposedly. I haven't seen it myself yet, though.

It would certainly be a drive for you; I'm trying to confirm that it's there before I make the trek.

Still, I saw it on Kotaku's list of U.S. arcades with SF4, so I suppose it's legitimate

Do you mean Galaxy World? As far as I know Timezones have all but faded out.

If its Galaxy World, then :O:O:O Finally something to get some Tekken 6 machines out of the way.

ALL SF IV LOCATIONS:

Toronto

Toronto, Canada

Waah, so far in the 'middle of nowhere', at least from my stand point. :lol

Now that Funland is closed down, I have to depend on movie theaters downtown to bring in the new games. The outlook is not good.

ok just came back from Chinatown Fair, the game looks very sharp, the machines also were playing on some great looking samsung monitors, bunch of people were there. I didnt have the balls to sign up and play because some dude was kicking ass with Chung Li, I also noticed the characters are much bigger then the previous SF's. Overall the game looks amazing.

I was there too and played that guy with Ryu:lol Got my ass kicked tho, I almost had him once. Great Game overall.

It's not Galaxy, it's the Timezone at the Greater Union cinemas (Shop 5/505) on George ST. By the way if you haven't already, check out GGS a bit further up the street, if you head towards UTS it's right between the KFC and Maccas. They've got a few 3S machines, Tekken 6, and sometimes have other games like MvC2 and SFA2.

FUCK! I was in Melbourne last week. I didn't bother going there even though I knew it was the best place to spot the cabinet. :( I was just too busy and there was no confirmation that I knew of.

Damn it!

I'm also still horrified that I can spend the whole day walking around the CBD and not spot a single arcade. There used to be one every few feet.

Oh well, I'm back for a conference in a fortnight, I will be spending my nights at GC then:)

That's the address. Are you familiar with the Times Square area? It's around there.

Anyone know what Capcom is charging for the game? I'm curious how much more it will spread into arcades or if this will be it. I can get to Philly, but it's not convenient.

Hot damn! There's a machine 45 minutes away from me in Eastdall Mall. I'll be hitting that stuff up soon- probably next Thursday or Friday.

In many places its $1.

That's not too terrible considering Japanese machines even before the modern day cost 100 yen ( roughly $1).

And the stupid Tekken 6 machine at New Roc City is $3 :(

Anyone here play at CTF? I was there last week (Thurs) and I got to play against JWong.

Is there a thread for where Tekken 6 machines are?

Edit: for anyone else interested here is the list I found...

I was actually wondering about the cost of the board itself. What's Capcom charging the arcade operators to get Street Fighter IV?

I was told, so take this with a grain of salt, that the version without HD monitors were $3000 and the versions with were $4500.

I was the one who told Crow those prices. I searched a bit to find where I originally heard them, and it seems that according to Kotaku, you can buy the SF4 hardware (without the full SF4 arcade unit) for $2600, so I was pretty close.

However, to import the entire unit, it appears to be $23000. So yeah, I was a bit off on that number.

Off topic, but on...

The console version of SFIV looked very "complete" at GDC last week, and Ono has said he wanted to get the US console version out as soon as possible due to the dead arcade scene... has Capcom issued an "official" release date yet?

Ive heard March 9th, but yeah hopefully it will be sooner.

I just don't know why Capcom would put the game out three/four days before Resident Evil 5, though.

Yeah who knows.. I remember for a while it was slated for February.

Honestly, I don't know why, or how, the game wouldn't be ready for a late November early December release.

I heard they want to release it with the movie. Also, HD Remix may come out around Nov/Dec so they may want ppl to buy that first? Who knows.

Someone should checkout shoryuken.com, they may have a more up-to-date list.

I'm at work and it is blocked for me...:(
Are the forums working for you? The main site was blocked because of games when I was at school. I just went straight to the forums instead and it worked. Somehow, they blocked the forums about a year after I started going there from school computers. :lol

Capcom is adding more to the game than the arcade release. This takes time.

This is the wrong way to go IMO. Capcom should do their best to get those arcades that DO exist to set the dang thing up in their arcade. One reason arcades are dead is because publishers decided to break the cycle of arcade -> home releases and the delay in between.

If you have an event game like this, push it hard in arcades and you make even more money on the front and back end when it comes home!

Publishers are quick to note how movies have theaters for additional revenue before the home release on DVD, yet they went and killed their "theaters" by not supporting them with quality games and delayed home releases!
