Street Fighter V Beta Thread: Welcome, future '16ers! (Currently Inactive!)

I think I'm gonna take it down be like 80-3 right now lol...had a great time Capcom.


Got my ryu to lvl 15. Dunno what my player level is since it keeps glitching sync after a match.
 
For real. At least when it's underwater lag I can tell what's going on

Understand the equivalent of a really laggy match in the beta is likely a red-bar connection in SF4 that freezes every two seconds. The beta has no region/ping filters, you get what you get and if that's a dude with 1 meg upload on wifi cross country, no netcode will save you.

Much like SFxT. When you accept only the best connections, it will feel pretty close to offline with the odd glitch and that's only if the netcode is ONLY as good. In the case of SF4, most green bars have many frames of delay.
 
Got a few more matches to go before I hit the next rank, would go faster if it would upload the results so I can gain exp. Seems to happen almost 50% of the time.

Also I hope that SF's Official twitter account updates us soon about how long this is going to last since this is just a stress test that basically came outta nowhere. Would be nice to see a schedule by the end of this weekend.

Netcode could still be better though, rising thunder set a high bar.

Does Rising Thunder match you up world-wide with no regard to connection at this point?If it does, that would be tremendous alpha netcode.

Either way it should still be basically offline levels once you can accept connections.

Lol, I was playing Cammy and then it randomly forced me to play as Nash and booted me to the main menu to say the roster was updated after.
 
Got some more matches in and I'm really really liking it. Maybe it's just because I can actually win because a lot of people suck like me. :P
 
Yo is it me or Nash is free on wakeup just like guile. Ma man has no priority on anything. Even ex flash kick gets grabbed, stuffed, etc. But overall I would say win loss was even after 20 or so matches. Also Nash got no anti air. Hes free on jump ins too.

wake up isn't great but he has some nice anti air options. cr.mp, f.mk, cr. hp are all pretty good.

Something I love doing for anti air is his cr.mp into his special grab. Heavy version specifically. It's not safe at all but people get hit by it 90% of the time lol.
 
Yeah they gotta make it hard to get any sort of money out of the deal so I'd say they equivocate a dlc character to a week of moderate to hardcore play.
