Street Fighter V: Character Introduction Series

Rye-You sounds better so it's the cannon pronunciation. Sorry.

Maybe for native English speakers, but as a French Canadian Rye-you is piss in my ears. Just makes me think of Rye bread. If there's one thing I like about my native tongue it's that bar the R/L sound, French and Japanese pronunciation are pretty much the same.

I can't believe after all of this time, anyone is still calling Ryu "Rye-You", especially a Capcom representative. I mean...just ugh.

Gief has achieved second gear since SF4.

Not really feeling those, they feel...lackluster? Maybe that's enough for the average consumer, I don't know.

It's already been discussed in the big SFV thread and most feel that it comes down to how inconsistent Bengus' art is in those story panels. For example look at how light Laura looks in that link you posted, now here she is in another piece of Bengus art

Thank God.

Yall better hope

Edit: Wait a min his art so inconsistent his hair gone? lol

I've only watched the Ken video, but that was bad. The guy is trying to describe things and the footage shows something completely different.

"If you use Ken's Ex Hurricane as someone throws a fireball, you can attack them before they can recover"
*shows clip of Ken doing a CA on Vega, who doesn't even have a fireball*

They did the same thing while talking about using his V-Skill.

Edit: The Zangief video seems better.

Not very fond of these video as they're not very informative or enticing, frankly they're so broad strokes I think the announcement trailers do a better job at trying to show and explain how a character plays.

Someone pointed out in the comments on one of them that the commentary does not match up with the footage at all, which seems like a bit of a missed opportunity.

I noticed this as well; the clips they choose inevitably show what they talk about but often it's many seconds after they're done describing it. Just seems like poor editing.

Can't wait for the Guile v Nash Civil War. Guile hopefully is a defensive force packing power like Ryu while Nash is just stylish and mobile but weaker like he's always been.

why are these so awkward. nothing happens for the first 20 seconds, then they have a british guy read a script like he's seeing it for the first time.

go compare this to what riot does for LOL or the dota cinema character overviews. way better.
