I definitely prefer it this way, as it gives the old characters a reason to exist.
There'd be no reason to ever use the returning characters again, if every newcomer was just a better version of the old guard.
And even within unconventional characters, the basics still exist. You can play Abigail like a character with big normals and command throws, everyone has basic "Confirm -> Special Move -> Super" attack paths, and even the confusing looking stuff is basically just extended by learning to use 1 EX special.
It looks daunting, but it's basically just a more complex look for the stuff you're already doing with the orthodox characters.

Ryu ain't a generic karate man. He's a karate man who fights with the same stance as Floyd Mayweather. That's pretty eccentric.

I would also say that a lot of the early female sexy costumes on that front as well. And they should be more creative when doing so for both genders, in some ways they already have, and I hope they continue outside of temporary fluxations like minat's battle outfit

If they follow the trend of the season 1 pass, then it's not going on sale until late in the year where it'll be 50% off.
Probably as soon as, or after the last character is released.

Cool. But just know that if you've already bought any of the S2 characters with Fight Money then you won't get your FM refunded.
This includes Akuma who people tend to forget was part of season 2.

Also it seems like this character might have actual execution requirements. Abby's harder combos also were pretty tough to land, but net you massive damage. Hopefully this is a trend and not just a one off thing.
