Street Fighter V - Menat trailer

Juri never rings right for me, because she always feels like a cheaper version of a better design waiting to happen. Her "villainy" side feels more Super Sentai threatening than actually evil, her Edgy side feels like something outta Akame Ga Kill rather than... I don't know... Sephiroth-like? I think I've basically liked every TKD character in gaming more than her. So many things about her keep me from ever taking her seriously, it's amazing.

I actually think it's great for fighters to have designs many can feel divisive over, though. If every character appealed heavily to me, what about those that have completely conflicting taste from my own? Don't they deserve to fight me with someone they think is awesome too?

A design isn't bad because I don't like it; it's bad if it doesn't give it's intended audiences what they're looking for. To be able to appeal to so many different people within a single product, and in such a strong way, should be a triumph of character design as a whole.

Is anybody doing well with Menat on Pad?

Her overall? Easy enough on pad. I haven't focused much on all the V-Trigger combos, but everything else is fairly breezy. I don't think using a stick would make me use the EX versions of her soul orb throw any more; I mostly avoid those moves, to save meter for the CritArt.

Double tapping the buttons to launch VT Orbs, rather than making a web of hold / release stuff, seems to make it much easier and approachable. Though I do use both methods.

Pushing 2 face buttons with a thumb, or pushing R1 and a face button aren't hard for me. The trigger can be more so, but that's not needed with her anyway. I used to have a hard time pushing face and R1 at once, but that was conquered over time.

Honestly when it comes to fighting games I don't think people should like all the characters as long as 1 or 2 clicks with them then I feel the game did it's job. Like fighting game characters are an extension of how you want to express your strategies/personality and such in game this typically wont go past 2 or 3 at most for most people yet people will complain when they don't like an entire cast when in the end they would never really play any of them to begin with

not on that dogshit analog trigger you can't
if you want to learn to play like a broken person with both r1 and l1 sure but good pad players are getting controllers with 2 digital shoulder buttons

hitting ibuki's kunais by slamming your thumb between two face buttons and hoping they happen is also demoralizing
Nuckledu, the current Capcom Cup champion and Anbu Punk, considered the best NA player right now both play on the Dual Shock 4

Agree .
Once you got 2 or 3 people you like it should be good .

I apologize about the double-post, but I'm back from Twitter (& EventHubs) with some more Menat fan art that I thought could use some attention.

Did you buy it digitally? You may have gotten Season 1 alongside it.

The big hands/feet looked fine as 2D sprites but seeing them in 3D especially with certain costumes just looks bad.

You may have accidentally gotten a bundle. Either way, you should now be able to get all of Season 2 with just Fight Money.

No, I very distinctly clicked regular SF. it was way too cheap for a bundle, even with a discount. we are talking 25% of what a typical triple aaa 60 bucks equivalent is here

I liked how SF2 had characters that looked like some eccentrics from the streets of what ever region they came from.

This is bad because they just put damn Cleopatra in the game.

Bad people like you are why Capcom just retreads the same SF2 shit instead of letting their artists and musicians freestyle new shit.
