Stuck in hospital for a week, recommend me some ios games?

Flare of Ulcerative Colitis. Nothing serious but a little too high on painkillers to be productive.

I've already played:

Hearthstone
FTL
TWAU (played TWD 1+2 on PC)
Hiversaires
Dumb Ways 1+2
Into the Dead
FFV
TWEWY: Solo Remix
Deus Ex: The Fall
Device 6
The Room 1+2
Year walk
PvZ 1+2
Infinity Blade 1-2
Ghost Trick

-

Is there anything more premium like TWEWY? Played all the FFs on other consoles so would prefer something else.

Free or paid, I don't mind.

Thanks very much.

Steven Universe: Attack the Light is a pretty good if simple Mario RPG style game.

You may also want to look into Rolando 1 + 2, the Zen Bound games, and Little Inferno too.

Check out Republique. Stealth-based point and click game built for touch devices. Professional voice acting, interesting story and decent mechanics.

If you've never played Banner Saga, it's on iOS. I bought it but haven't played yet.

If you want to say goodbye to your life, there's always Marvel Puzzle Quest.

Is Telltale's Game of Thrones and Borderlands on IOS yet? If you liked TWD and TWAU you might like those, regardless of their attachment to their respective series. Their GoT actually got me watching the show.

You got my sympathies. Such a painful disease that really impacts my enjoyment of life. As far as games go, 80 Days is really absorbing and funny and completely different from everything else available on the phone. Also, Mechner's The Last Express is good (especially if you're on a larger phone). For more twitchy arcade stuff, I loved Super Hexagon and 10,000,000. Hope you feel better.

Oh, this one interested me a lot when I it was released for PC. This may be a winner...

Other Telltale games are tempting too.

Hero Emblems is really good. It's an RPG with match-3 puzzles as a battle system with a really solid challenge.

Attack the Light: Steven Universe RPG is a good one too, though a lot of it won't make sense if you don't watch Steven Universe.

Both of them are complete games with no in-app purchases.

Yeh, this flare is pretty horrid. Details you might want to skip:
Inflammation near the rectum is making even sitting down painful, I had to administer an enema to prep for a camera and t felt like I was passing razor blades. Thankfully I'm being fed oral morphine on tap!
Thanks. :)

Are any of these games strategy based? Remembering The Banner Saga as got me in that kind of mood

The KOTOR port is pretty good.

The XCOM port is fantastic.

Hitman Go is a fun puzzler.

Banner Saga's been pretty great so far too.

Card Shark has a variety of Card games for any sort of solo downtime.

If you have visitors, Orbital and Wrestle Jump are great two player games.

^^^^ This! This is an incredibly awesome game that works very well on newer iOS devices. I've easily sunk more than a weeks' worth of time on it when I took sick leave from work earlier this year. It is well worth the price and hopefully has set some sort of precedent in quality game launches on iOS going forward.

Played it to death on PC launch. Does the iOS version offer anything new?

I don't usually play a lot of games on my ipad but I suggest two F2P games:

Marvel PuzzleQuest- collecting character's and attacks is more fun than I expected

Does Not Commute- just found it this weekend and have been playing it on and off since...

I'd recommend valiant hearts, a bit pricey but totally worth it. You should also go check out framed and sorcery series.

If you've missed KOTOR somehow, sounds like now would be a good time to address that.

Otherwise, seems like you've played lots of great games already. We have similar tastes, apparently

EDIT: maybe those old infocom text adventures

Broken Age!

Monument Valley

This looks petty good. Anyone else played it?

Looking through the others now. Thanks.

Yeah, I liked it for the first couple of hours and then it got a bit boring and I never got back to it. If I really stuck to it then it might have been OK, but after hearing so much high praise I was quite disappointed.

EDIT: Just noticed you haven't played KotOR on iOS? If not, that's a fantastic game considering the platform.

Ima RPG kinda guy so that's all I really know.
Checkout Secret of Mana, FFIV The After Years or Bastion. All great epic adventure rpg time sinkers

It only does if you haven't played the Enemy Unknown expansion, which includes lots of new levels, unit upgrades and a new resource in all (or most?) of the levels called meld. The iOS version contains this expansion. If you're up for another, expanded, play through it would be a good choice. I found the controls to be off putting at first, but got used to them and became quite comfortable with them after an hour or two. Definitely not as easy to control as the PC/Console counterparts, but still really fun. After my last play through I became quite burnt out (even though it was thoroughly enjoyable), and it will probably be a few months or a year before I consider going back.

Monument Valley: gorgeous and very creative, but super short
Leo's Fortune: basic but fun platformer
Does Not Commute: fantastic idea, but gets boring a bit fast
SpiderMan Unlimited: great runner with lots and lots of content and events to keep it fresh
Adventure Capitalist: hypnotic game where you do pretty much nothing yet can't stop playing
Aliens Drive Me Crazy: a ton of fun, ton of content to unlock, feels great to explode shit
Angry Birds Epic: free-to-play RPG, but pretty forgiving on the in-app purchases, ton of polish
Angry Birds GO! karting game, similar to Mario Kart, but free-to-play (finished it without paying)
Badland: very atmospheric, mix between platformer and puzzle, gorgeous game
Bloons TD5: tower defense game, lot of fun if you're into that genre; other top one would be the Kingdom Rush series, extremely well done

That should keep you occupied for a few weeks :-D

80 days.

Some bullet hell games like mushihimesama (aka bug princess) are pretty good on ios.

Is there an ios version of spacechem? That's a good one too.

Organ Trail is a zombie-themed version of Oregon Trail if you like that stuff.

Chip Chain (easy going, good resume function)
Hundreds (just stellar)
Osmos (a classic)
Jelly Car 3 (really fun completing challenges)
Coin Drop (addictive, peggle-like)
Peggle (a classic, great on the platform)
League of Evil series (analog would be better, but still possible to beat all challenges with touch controls)
Beat Sneak Bandit (one of the best mobile games, period, a must play)
Amazing Breaker (cool ice breaking game)
Super Stickman Golf (so damn fun, even if you're meh about golf)
Angry Zombies series (addictive)
Where's My Water (good production values)
Little Inferno (introspective, zen, fun)
Cut the Rope series (great physics puzzler)
Dark Nebula series (awesome grapics, movement controls done right)

And so many more...this is a good start, in addition to the awesome titles you listed. Oh and most Telltale games are available on mobile too.

Sorry to hear about your Colitis, I have Crohn's so I know them feels.

Some games to keep you busy!

Monument Valley: A short, but beautiful little puzzle game. Similar in concept to Echochrome - but not as challenging.

Kingdom Rush: My favorite tower defense game of all time. I don't care if you don't like tower defense games, this game is awesome.

Hope you feel better.
