Yep that's the thread I was referring to just forgot the name, it was certainly heated and interesting in seeing some eye opening opinions from certain posters.
I'm not short (5`11), but bloody hell is that depressing and disgusting to read. For some reason an unusually large number of those posts are from Black women. Are Black women less likely to be attracted to short guys or something?

I don't really take this study seriously, though. I mean, there's so much more than height difference that can account for a successful, long lasting relationship.

Lift weights? Trying to compensate.
Into combat sports? Something to prove.
Not afraid of debating a differing opinion? Small man complex.

Why not? We have evolved general thinking brains that allow us to override our high levels of thinking. Be we are very much beholden to the workings of the much older portions of our brain. The male has an entire chromosome that only ever experiences natural selection through the experience of a male body.
I find a lot of people denounce or downplay evolutionary psychology in fear it will be used to subvert women. But that really isn't so. The things people want to be valued for beyond the condition of their body all come from hard work which programs that general part of the mind. But men and women can have very different psychological drives.
Study far more primitive mammals that don't have language to override or redefine and reinterpret primitive body language and social cues. It should be obvious that males and females demonstrate very different behaviors which correspond to their sexual roles. Roles which persisted deep into human history, and quite frankly are only just now being undone.

To be fair, if they were actually getting what they wanted from tall guys, they wouldn't take the time to post their hatred of short ones.
As a counselor, I talk with girls all the time who will only date one specific type of guy. They exclude 95% of men because of steadfast stances on race, religion, appearance, education, fitness, etc. Tall black dude in great shape? "No way!" A Muslim Adonis? "Nope!" Chubby, bald, too hairy, heavy drinker, never drinks, there are a million different personal preferences that some women hold paramount.
This is a very good way to end up eternally single. Most intelligent, well-balanced women (the type we elite Ubermensch on GAF would be interested in long term) know how to tick enough of the most important boxes without limiting themselves.
So yeah, don't be too bothered if you're short.
