Stuff you've sold / lost and regret

I was moping around my house last night, having just pulled out my old PS2 collection, and realized that I'm missing some of my old favorites. At one time, I'd sold them to fund another purchase, and now I'm regretting it. Here's the list of PS2 titles I miss:
Silent Hill 2
Devil May Cry
Frequency
Beyond Good and Evil
Contra Shattered Soldier
Disgaea

Then I get to thinking about older systems and their games that I really regret selling off:
Gamecube - it broke on me and I dumped my library, including:
F-Zero GX
Mario Sunshine
Zelda collector's edition (especially Majora's Mask)
Wind waker
Viewtiful Joe
Smash Bros Melee
Eternal Darkness

And I get to thinking about when my Dreamcast when it died, and I dumped that library, consisting of some of the greatest games I've ever played:
Shenmue
Bangai-O
Skies of Arcadia
Grandia II
Jet Grind Radio
Ikaruga
MvC2
CvS2
SF3 3rd Strike

And thinking back to my really old days, I sold off my Gameboy with a great library for a song. I really wish I still had this, so many great games and memories.
Gargoyle's quest
TMNT: Fall of the foot clan
Castlevania adventure
Super Mario Land
Boomer's adventure in asmik world

Luckily, my SNES losses are being recouped thanks to the Wii's virtual console, but let this be a lesson to the rest of you. If you love something, keep it. You will want to revisit it eventually.

A friend still has my ICO which I have not secured yet. I also regret selling a few SNES games (Super Star Wars series, Legend of the Mystical Ninja)

BG2, I got it for my birthday when it came out, and it was in one of those big, beautiful cardboard boxes. The only thing that's left of it is the manual, I can't find the discs/box. I had to buy the 4 in 1 boxset...
I actually seemed to lost half of my games... It's really odd Oo

I wish I still had everything pre-SNES era. Which wasn't a whole hell of a lot, but I either sold it off (NES) or completely trashed it so sold the games (original GB, Commodore Vic-20 Spectrum, Atari ST, etc). I was an angry young man.

I also wish I still had everything pre-last-gen available for play... I moved from the UK to Canada a few years back, so while I still have hundreds of games on and between SNES and Dreamcast, they're all in storage somewhere in the UK because they are PAL format and almost completely useless here.

I also with I didn't sell all my old Transformers toys back in my teens. :-(

Master System with about 20 games, the "arcade stick", 3D glasses, etc.

I miss Zilion II and Wonderboy in Monsterland the most.

EDIT: Also my Game Boy, with similar games, Gargoyle's Quest, TMNT: FotFC and Skate or Die: Bad 'N Rad

-Final Fantasy Tactics Original Soundtrack complete with Ramza and Moogle card
-Dragonball GT Final Bout before I know it was worth a ridiculous amount of money, thankfully it isn't anymore :D
-SNES
-Skies of Arcadia

This is too painful, I want to stop remembering

Panzer fucking Dragoon Saga that's right my friends I sold one of the few PAL copies for fucking pocket change. In my defense I was young, pre-teen in fact, and wanted the brand new PSX with FFVII.
But there's more I also sold Dragonforce along with it, basicly I sold ALL my Saturn collection which I'm trying to get it back now to have money for my PSX.

I sold my *gulp* Dreamcast a couple years ago in order to get enough money for a 360. I'm extremely sore at myself for that one and I miss it dearly. Never sell your systems, kids. You'll just end up going to eBay to get it back in the end.

Oh yeah, that too. I sold my Master System to buy an Atari ST.

What annoys me is that I bought the thing off some guy my Dad knew that was alcoholic and just needed the money... got the complete package (around 20-30 games, the light gun, 3D glasses, a couple of spare controllers) for 20 quid. That's not a typo. 20 freaking quid. I made my money back many times over when I sold it. :-P

I'd take it all back just for Wonder Boy III, though.

In elementary school I loaned some games to my best friend who had lost his SNES and later found it sans games. I guess there was a misunderstanding of what I had meant and he later sold the games with his system. Off the top of my head they were:

Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
Darius Twin
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Kirby Superstar
and a few others.

I also loaned Link's Awakening to a friend in highschool who I rode the bus with. Dude randomly moved away before I got it back. I'd like to think this one was accidental but knowing the kid I wouldn't put it past him to straight up take it. I knew it was a bit of a risk.

My lost list is small but very dear. I just recently noticed i'm missing:

Trauma Center Ds
Kirby Canvas Curse
Zone of Enders 2

Vice City Box Soundtrack

My entire Pixar Collection: Toy Story Toy Box, Monsters Inc, Bugs Life, Incredibles, etc.
Fantasia Box Set (rare) no clue who i loaned this to.

I collect a lot of crap so i expect some collateral damage but it pisses me off that being nice to people and loaning stuff has cost me this much shit.

Daaaamn, that sucks.

I almost regret selling my DS Lite. I sold it a year or so ago when you couldn't find them anywhere for a couple months and got more than I paid for it.

But... Now, eh, wish I had one again. Sometimes.

I sold my TurboGrafX 16 and all games when I was about 13 years old for $40.

My biggest regret. I had Splatterhouse, Ninja Spirit, Bonk's Adventure, Bonk's Revenge, Blazing Lazers, etc.

I pilfered a TurboGrafx 16 from a relative a couple years ago, but don't have the games I used to.

It was only partialy my fault, and not intentional, but a relative of mine ebayed ninja gaiden black, RE4, Shin megami tensei nocturne, DQ8 and God of war.. As a result, I will soon be buying Ninja Gaiden sigma, RE4 Wii and probably rebuying god of war. The others are a bit less crucial, but I can't do without those three.

the main games I regret trading intentionaly are GTA san andreas and Gran Turismo 4.

I regret selling Power Stone. At the time, I was crazy about Power Stone 2, which is pretty awesome, but I do miss the very different, less insane feel of the original. That and Super Magnetic Neo. I only paid $10 for it, but I took it with me when I took a stack of games to sell for Metal Gear Solid 2, and wanted to see how much I'd get for it. My friend manning the register thought that I wanted to sell it, and I got a whole $1 for it.

I also sold Dragon Warrior IV for approximately $2 at a garage sale.

I had a copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 for PS2 that I sold in order to get the Dreamcast version, and I only sold it for like $20. The Dreamcast version is superior, but the PS2 version is worth more. Wish I would have just kept it :(

I gave away my Super Nintendo, my old school gameboy and all of the games for both systems to my friend's little brother because I thought it would be a nice thing to do, then he turned around and sold all of it. Little bastard!

How many people have actually loaned games to their friends only to never get them back? I've lost many that way.

However, as karma would have it, I've scored some sweet games the same way.

GTAIII and Vice City, a Sega Saturn System, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, numerous GBA games, some 360 games, and many more..

Looks like I broke even in the end.

Using the 30% extra credit coupon for Gamestop, I handed my wife Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Bully, Yakuza, and Katamari Damacy this morning to take in for me on her way home from work.
I already feel bad about it.
But IÂ’m just not a gamer that plays through my games more than a couple of times, especially into the next generation of a console. Now that the PS3 is here I am concentrating on all of the PS3 games out now and that are due for release. ThereÂ’s a lot and gaming is expensive at sixty bucks a pop.
Maybe with the PS4 they will have all of the PS2 games up on the Playstation Store and I can rebuy them then. :D

SNES: Super Metroid.

Saturn: Vampire Savior, Soukyugurentai, Fighting Vipers (Jpn.), KoF '95 (missing disc), Powerslave.

PS1: Resident Evil, Raiden Project.

Been pretty good about avoiding stupid trade-ins since.

About five years ago I sold Shining Force III and Dragon Force for the Saturn on Ebay. Got a ton of cash for them both, but still...

I lost my copy of Yoshi's Touch n' Go on the train back from London sometime last year. I miss that game so much... Mostly because it had all my high scores on it.

My game gear and like 5-6 games I sold to some guy at a flea market for like $90 or something, and then I bought DKC for SNES and some other game I don't even remember with the money. :(

This is a good thread.

Chrono Cross <------- big one. I actually rebought it recently for $15, and I NEVER do that, simply out of guilt for not having it anymore.

Final Fantasy Tactics <----- Original one. Of course, the PSP one I'm still playnig makes up for it, but still...

Final Fantasy 7-9 <------ I can't understand why i still don't own these anymore, why would I let any of them go is beyond me

Breath of Fire 3 <---- I also want to rebuy this, I kind of want the PSP version so I still have it

Basically, I don't have any PSX games any more. I wnet through a phase and traded them all in. I want some back :(

I still have Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy III SNES though. I'll never part with those.

Also, my Dreamcast. I can't right now even recall why I got rid of it.
I want my Marvel Vs Capcom 2 back :(
And I wanted to beat Draconus too.

General Chaos for Genesis. Just lost it by lending to a friend or relative.
Blast Corps and Diddy Kong Racing for N64. Guess I wanted money for Dreamcast games or something. Stupid.
Crazy Taxi for DC. Traded it in for shit. :\

Haven't sold many games, so that's about it.

Ketsui, I sold mine a few months ago and the board at Casino was replaced by Pink Sweets a few days ago so there is no way for me to play it now.

oh vagrant story, i wanted to finish you someday, but alas, the great game purge of 2006 took you away...

My Saturn collection.

I was big in importing at the time. Radiant Silver Gun, Princess Crown, any 2D / 3D fighter you can think of, as well as limited release titles like Panza Saga and Shining Force.

Sure miss them.

[edit] Because of my Saturn mistake, I've kept all my Dreamcast games and all my favourite PS2 games.

Radiant Silvergun :(

I've been on the fence about selling this one for years now.

Also, I'm currently in the process of unloading stuffs to fund a 360 purchase. The PS2 is already gone. I wonder if I'll regret selling off the midnight blue DS (was a gift, but...) or Castlevania Double Pack (sealed)?
