and yea strong world didn't have the most original plot, but my god was it pretty.
It did look quite nice (I preferred the art in Movie 6 though) but the outfits were pretty dumb, like they were trying to outstupid the wii game outfits.

I thought that last scene was actually a good use of Mai. She acted totally in character yet we got to see a different side of her. It was funny to see two different characters get a chance to react to each other.

Go buy some decent headphones. At least get yourself a decent mid-range option. My beater pair are Creative Aurvana Lives which have the same drivers as the pricier Denon D-1001's but recupped (and way more comfortable IMO) for $50 (unfortunately they are $99 pretty much everywhere now). I've had these CAL's for 2 years now and they are my go to chuck-in-the-backpack cans and if I just want to plug something into my laptop to watch some anime.
If you're looking for some decent at least semi-portable closed headphones get yourself something for $50-$75 like the Sony MDR-V6's or the Koss Pro DJ100's. Really recommend the V6's though. If you don't mind open cans then the Grado SR60i's are fantastic.
Not a fan of the PortaPros as they are pretty cheap in build quality. Some of the JVC stuff is the bare minimum budget stuff is passable like the JVC Flats which you can find for $10 or so if you really wanted a $10 pair

One Piece Movie 6: El Barón Omatsuri y la Isla Secreta
As someone who knows the bare minimum about the ongoing adventures of Luffy and his ragtag gang of trusty nakamas, it was reassuring to know I did not need to be well-versed in all things Grand Line related to enjoy this movie. And it turns out that was the case, seeing as I really did enjoy this movie.
Given that the reason most are watching this now is because it's directed by Hosoda I will say that his style definitely permeates most of it. It's also similar in that it starts out fairly light hearted and whimsical but never to the point where it becomes obnoxious and then sort of goes away from that in order to explore the actual themes the plot is going for.
Was I enthralled enough by the material that I now want to fully submerge myself into this world? No, not really, but I can certainly appreciate a well made movie when I see one.
As someone who knows the bare minimum about the ongoing adventures of Luffy and his ragtag gang of trusty nakamas, it was reassuring to know I did not need to be well-versed in all things Grand Line related to enjoy this movie. And it turns out that was the case, seeing as I really did enjoy this movie.

Awesome episode. When the orchestrated version of the main theme started playing at the end while Toriko was being badass, I got super pumped up. This series has an incredible "epic" ost.
Anyway, the origin story of the Gourmet Age is very One Piece-esque. Acacia is like Roger who brought on the era, GOD is like One Piece that lead to people exploring the world for their dreams. Even if it isn't super original, it's such a whimsical setup that it's still entertaining. Glad there's something like OP out there even if it is by a sex offender.

This was a nice episode. Seeing the girls actually doing things in the idol business is actually interesting for me, even if it is sugarcoated to hell.
