Sacred Seven 0.75

Yeah I only got that far. This was by far the most incomprehensible shit ever. It makes Star Driver look like the greatest anime ever made. They tried everything from ojousama to maids to butlers to delinquents to mecha to guyver suits to whatever the fuck but I just couldn't muster up the strength to give a crap. New season has started badly for me.

I still have no idea what Penguin Drum is about and I kinda wanna keep it that way, lol.

No-one knows what it's about, it will be glorious when it airs.

What do you like?

Do you like slice-of-life shows? Then watch Hanasaku Iroha or AnoHana.

Do you like shounen fight shows? Then watch Ao no Exorcist or Tiger and Bunny.

Do you like shounen fight shows as a metaphor for the fragile global economy? Then watch C.

I can watch most things as long as it doesn't have derping women with egregiously large tits flailing around

Also, anything that opens with the 'an ordinary high school boy joins X Academy and meets a mysterious girl
who may have cat ears
and wacky shenanigans ensue' makes me want to vomit on kittens

Most of these recommendations are fairly misleading!

I recommend Dororon Enma-kun from last season. Some people I trust say Yondemasuyo, Azazel-san was good, but I personally haven't seen it yet.

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée episode 1

Yune is the most adorable anime girl EVER. Yeah...the language thing is weird...but Yune makes up for it 10,000 fold. No, a million times!

Sacred Seven episode 1

So fucking ridiculous, but I loved every minute of it. That scooter is awesome. I want one.

Nichijou 14

The new OP is EPIC and completely fucked up, just like the show.
EPIC fight is EPIC.

I'm curious about this. What's different?

(Xenoglossia 26 DVD version)
There's about two minutes of extra footage inserted between the end of the ending credits and the scene with
Haruka leaving her apartment at the end of the show. It takes place an indeterminate period of time later - Mondenkind has (obviously) disbanded the iDOL team and started a legitimate manned space flight program. Iori and Makoto have stayed with Mondenkind as astronauts. The support staff, sans Sorewa and that one guy, all left to join a company formed by the chief mechanic. Ami and Mami go back off to be idols.

Of course, not being able to resist one last troll, we don't actually learn anything additional about what Haruka or Yukiho are doing. Yukiho does appear briefly, laying flowers upon the grave we saw Azusa visit several times throughout the series, but the only dialogue she has is a brief exchange with Joseph (the former boss of the iDOL team), and that's really all about him).

Time to check out Memo-Chou.

I don't think I can ignore Sacred Seven after reading through the last 2 pages in this thread.

Tiger and Bunny has none of that, so definitely check that out.

Also, if you enjoy a nice slice of life then check out Hanasaku Iroha. Coming on to episode 15 it has been consistently enjoyable.

Toriko. It's One Piece + Dragon Ball Z + Fist of the North Star + Monster Hunter
he punches giant monsters to death and cooks them. ITS AWESOME

Just finished the first episode of Blade. It seems to be on par with xmen. The character designs were decent and the animation was okay. The fight choreography was nothing amazing but it wasn't terrible either. The story is... well it's got a clear protagonist, a clear antagonist and plenty of vampire and presumably other monster fodder in between.

Penguins, duh.

In the title, in the promo art, everywhere.

There can only be one!

I wouldn't say confusing so much as badly written.
It being badly written is what made it confusing for me to be honest.

Not funny at all, but the ed is nice.
Yeah that's basically how I felt when I watched the first episode a few days ago. I really liked the ED though, which kind of made up for the show itself. It was kind of odd considering how low budget the actual show is then all of a sudden it closes with a cool ED like that.

Jun'ichi Satō directed the Aria series. The good one, about gondoliers.
I love that show. Especially the weird cat thing.
How many seasons were made of that? I only have the first.
Need all of it.

Marco 12-13

And the first arc closes with sweet stealth action. No, really, Snake would be proud.

When will the monkey stop stealing every scene? Hopefully never.

Wow, this thread moves pretty fast. Thanks everyone for the recommendations! Much appreciated, a lot of series mentioned I had never heard and probably wouldn't have it wasn't for this thread. Definitely going to try and check out as many as I can. And give Baccano another chance since so many people are so positive about it.

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée 1 - Don't really know what to make of it. Yune is cute and it's an decent premise I guess, but basing dramatic arc of the episode off of something they handled so weirdly (The dual language issue, despite the fact that everyone's speaking Japanese exclusively anyway) kinda shot this episode in the foot. And maybe it's because I'm tired but I wasn't really engrossed at all.

I guess going forward it's going to be about Claude and Yune understanding each others' cultures. Guess it's worth another chance, but eh.

Spring season was pretty weak, looking back.

Gosick
Steins;Gate
Tiger and Bunny

That's all that I would recommend.

Three seasons.

Yuru Yuri - 1

Typical moe show at its finest grade with bits of yuri tones as expected. This was what Spring was missing all along.

Gintama 215

Wow that was basically a setup for the final battle. I wonder if the series is nearing the end. Then again looking at Sorachi's track record there will be 100 episodes of teasing before anything actually happens.

Also lol at the Youth Ordinance Bill stuff. Gintama is so topical. Too bad it losses it's relevance a little because of the delay between the manga released and anime aired.

So X-Men Anime is over, what did everyone think of it?

I thought it was cool, though didn't like how the whole thing took place in Japan in some snowy mountains and how the X-Men fought these weird creepy people. Even Takeo was creepy and just weird. I wanted a real fight, not what we got in the finale (though I did like the mutant/marvel hero cameos). Though it seems next season will take a better turn now that Magneto has broken out of his cell, which means Brotherhood fights.
