Yeah this was all done too hastily, we have pull a long con to really hook them in.
We should've just gone with the tsundere approach. "It's not like we want you to watch it or anything, the show isn't great at all. But if you do, we won't mind. Be sure to keep up updated as you go or else, not that I care or anything."

Soebody Pm'ed me that it has a
shocking
ending, but honestly, it's not like anybody with half a brain could't figure that out after a couple of slightly disturbing episodes. But the upside of it is I don't know HOW it ends yet so you still might have a chance if you don't fuck up anymore and give it away. But at this point, yeah the fun's probably over.
Thanks much, GAF.

I'll keep watching it to see what the
shocking
ending is, but I cant really be surprised by much anymore given how fucked up things in my own life have been. Anime cant really affect me in that way.
The shocking ending is that he ends up with the girl you least expect.

cajunator, don't listen to what anyone else says. Even if you know the ending, the show is still legitimately good. Animugaf considers it a train wreck, but they rarely speak for the majority. Many places have rated it highly and not as a "so bad it's good" kind of show. Just keep watching and judge for yourself.

This is why we need to establish some base guidelines for this shit. A Standard Operating Procedure, if you will.

1. Do not insinuate how it ends
2. Do not send people fucking PM's saying what kind of ending it has
3. Do not keep pushing it. Just say, "have you watched School Days? check that out"
4. just step the fuck away and let the person watch it and follow along. Don't say anything.
5. I seriously don't know what a boat has to do with this show yet.
6. I also dont know what the ending actually is so I'm going to watch it and just see what you guys were on about. SincE I know that it has a bad end, posting episodically is kind of pointless now.

Let this be a lesson GAF. I'll do my best not to ruin it myself for anyone else.
We now return you to whatever the hell this thread talks about.

An anime centered around anime-gaf would be the most spectacular trainwreck ever. I'm talking multicolored flames and everything.

I thought we made fanart for this already

I'm in with Cajun's operating procedure. I like you, new guy. You're cool.

That is all. Sunrise trolled me like a fucking master. They played me like a fucking goddamned violin. No, like a Stratocaster! Jesus fucking Christ. I KNEW there had to be a reason why
Ryoko still appeared in the OP even after she "died" at the end of the last episode!

This show, it is amazing. I thought I had it figured out, and that I anticipated the troll, and effortlessly parried it aside, only to get hit unexpectedly by a second troll hidden inside the first troll! A DUAL-TROLL COUNTERATTACK! Sunrise hit my weak point for MASSIVE DAMAGE!! WARNING!! CORE DAMAGE IS CRITICAL! DESTRUCT IN 10 SECONDS!! INITIATING EMERGENCY RECOVERY!!

Oh hey, I get to listen to Kana more now. Sweet. :3

Not like it takes more than 30 seconds to find the ending of School Days on the internet

Not like I ever bothered to look. This is one of those shows I could have legitimately been surprised by because I was going in blind like I did with Allison and Lillia, but people couldn't let well enough alone. If you spoiled it for yourself, whatever, that wasn't my problem to deal with, but I hadn't. In a way, I still haven't and I'd like to keep it that way if you dont mind.

You're supporting your position with reviews from legitimate online reviewers, I take it.

You requested a PM of the ending, is it that hard to go to youtube or somesuch and find it yourself? Or do you just want to complain about people PM'ing you the ending after you asked to know what it was via PM?
I requested one but I decided I'd rather just salvage this train wreck and actually watch the show, so Im checking off the net right now until this show is over. that seems to be the only way to not find out about the rest of it. I'll see you guys later.
Disregard the PM request.

I got bad news for all of you there. I am the main character of the Animu-GAF anime. I'm Lelouch, and right now, I COMMAND YOU!!

Is there a bingo card for this kind of fanfic? I hope not.

Don't make me put on my stern face.

I got bad news for you, too. You're Suzaku. You have to kill me at the end. But don't worry, the ending is intentionally a troll which kind of but not really implies I survive!

1. As long has they said nothing direct, showing some excitement is alright. Plus it can only go 2-3 ways.

2. is that before or after you asked for the same PM?

3. The most we had was posters talking how viewing it changed their life :P

4. Yea on a discussion forum where users are anticipating reactions/thoughts of a specific show, not saying anything is a fucking pipe dream. Just long as its not a spoiler.

5. So ignore it?

6. Mission somewhat accomplished then? Plus it can be about the "Journey" also

Basically don't do the internet equivalent of giggling like schoolgirls when you're about to play a trick on someone.

Yeah, definitely got carried away playing fucking music games god why are they so frustrating and hit post when I saw I had something typed in but not submitted.

Nah, you're just jealous that I'm more fabulous than you are. It's okay, you can be C.C. if you want! You like pizza, right?

Unknown Soldier said:
Because they are real people? Why would you start a series about yourselves? Doesn't that sound just a bit arrogant and vain to try and start a manga/LN series about your moe moe avatars?
I just thought it would be a nice idea. ;_;

Yuruyuri 1
Yeah, that was boring.
You should've seen A-Channel! Yuruyuri is riot in comparison.

Nudge nudge wink wink teehee.

I did! I vaguely remember dropping it immediately for almost the same reason. The sister's room
a.k.a. stalker shrine
and the summation of protagonist characteristics in Yuruyuri did make me laugh pretty hard, though. The rest of it was just too much generic moe.

French thingy 01
This show is weird. Its like its trying to fetishize 19th century france for its Japanese audience while showcasing how 19th century Europe fetishized Japan. It had some nice music and it has potential but it was a pretty standard episode for something like this.

I have hope for the comedy.

Not really, I'm just watching it for the yuri. Who am I trying to kid?

Dead Leaves (rewatch)

Well, I don't dislike this is as much as when I first watched it. That sounds like an overly negative way to start this off but I just want to explain where I'm coming from.

While this movie is visually arresting in just about every single scene I don't actually like it very much. It just seems like a series of stylish scenes strung together into a sequence, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but I found myself rather exhausted by the half-way point. This seems to be because of the problematic pacing.

I don't think you can string together quite this many action sequences without the audience becoming tired of it, especially when the scenes are so complicated and energetic. Occasionally the movie takes a breather, which really helps, but it doesn't happen often enough.

Which is a shame because the majority of the action set-pieces are cool, of course. I did have some trouble watching the first police-chase one, however. Something about the way the repeating backgrounds strobed across the screen made it very hard to pick out what the hell was going on. This was a problem in a few other places, where there was so much on screen that I wasn't sure what exactly I was supposed to be looking at.

I'm not a fan of the works 'humour' either, or it's story and characters. But that's really neither here nor there when the main focus seems to be 'drawing things that look cool'.

In terms of movies that were just made as action animation showpieces I prefer Project A-Ko.

Your're dead so... :p

No, you see, it's kind of implied that I'm sort of not! So as far as you are concerned, I continue to exist in a plane between Sunrise wants to make another series with me, and Sunrise doesn't!

This is getting really meta...

Zegapain 15:

I'm tired of talking about how good this series is. Because it's really boring to talk about how good something is all the time.

So I'll share something instead. I don't like MyAnimeList very much. It's full of people who hate everything, like ANN Forums. NeoGAF is like that, too, you can always find people who hated it and will write a huge long review about how much it sucked. MAL and ANN are like the counterpoint to AS where everybody loves everything.

So I like to spend time perusing anidb.net. It's way smaller than MAL is, and most of the time I've found that of all the sites I read about anime, it is by far the most useful. Because it uses tags, instead of blog-like reviews. You just read the tags and see if they kind of follow what you might be interested. The most useful tag I have found at anidb.net is "Surprisingly Good". If you see the series has that tag, it's worth looking into. If the "Surprisingly Good" tag is really huge, that means a LOT of people have tagged it as "Surprisingly Good". Zegapain has a huge "Surprisingly Good" tag, so I took the chance on it.

Oh, right, Zegapain is really good. Where the hell did DiGiKerot go, anyways?

Kamisama Dolls 1 - Awesome OP, really catchy. This has a lot of potential. I like the character designs and the concept. The pacing seemed a little weird, though. Hopefully it will turn out good.

Irresponsible Captain Tylor 1

And I thought that I had exhausted the reserves...Seriously, it has to have been forever since I've had an older show spring up on me like this. It's amazingly animated. The music is down right awesome. Tylor is an incredibly drawing protagonist. And the humour just hits.

Top it off with some incredibly composed scenes (like above) and we've got a damn winner.

V - And captain dome spits game at the throne, like a boss.

Kamisama no Memochou Super Special One Hour Extravaganza 1

The first half was soooo dull. Somniferous, even. Then in the second half things turned into srs bsns all of a sudden but to no avail because I didn't really give a damn about what happened to any of these characters.

In conclusion, JC Staff should stop wasting time on this nonsense and just give me more Bad Aria instead.

[C] Finale
What is this I don't even...

So in the end it was all for nothing? Is that what Masakaki was saying at the ending? This show would have really benefited with more episodes to explain the extent and exact influence of the financial district on the real world. It had some great episodes but it didn't have enough room to give characters enough time to develop or enough time to explain everything I just watched.

Natsume Yujincho San! ! ! !

You have no idea how often both myself and my partner have stated to each other how much we wanted a 3rd series of Natsume. She even has a massive Nyanko sensei plushy.

Well, kind of, except not. Yoga fixed all the problems caused the current financial district, and there sure were a lot of problems to fix.

Touko-san is so moe~

The ending was fucking stupid.
Some CONGRATULATIONS-esque bullshit and then we find out that literally nothing was accomplished during the entirety of the series.
Awesome.

Bad
ass
Aria is a terribly awesome show. I will always take something that's guaranteed to entertain the hell out of me over something which might not.

Huh?

I don't know if people understood this particular ending very well.
